Brielle Parker has her life in front of her; she just does not know how to live it. After years of not being enough for her parents, or the dreams she once had, how did one man Colby James show her she was actually more than enough?
Raised by her grandparents with her three siblings, Brielle was loved, no doubt. However, her grandparents were taken too soon, and she was left with her older sibling to try to raise her younger ones. She couldn’t help but let the doubts take over her life. Would she ever be enough? Then Colby walked in and changed everything, and just when she was facing her fears and falling in love for the first time, Colby ripped her heart out.
Will they be able to get past their mistakes to live the life they both want? Did Colby finally break Brielle when all he wanted to do was protect and love her? You can rebound from some mistakes, but some you just have to learn from and walk away. The love they have is true and pure, but will they finally be enough for each other?
I read this book several days ago and have been thinking of how I am going to write this review. I know it is impossible for me to put in words how wonderful this book is. I will try anyway.
It begins with Brielle, who is tough, smart-mouth, and intimidating on the outside but weak on the inside. She went through a traumatic experience as a child, which caused her to feel like she could never be enough for anyone. After this incident her and her siblings moved in with their grandparents who raised them until they passed away.
Brielle is fresh from college after graduating early. She is just getting back in town and is grateful to be with her family again. She is hoping she will be able to feel like herself again and help her older sister with their teenage siblings.
Brielle and Colby’s lives soon collide and there is no denying the chemistry between the two. Colby has it bad for Brielle and he will do whatever is necessary to have her. After Brielle lets her guard down and lets Colby into her heart he rips it right out, which leaves her a mess.
Will Brielle ever feel like she is enough for Colby? Will Colby be able to prove to Brielle that he is it for her?
While this book is mainly about Brielle and Colby you get to meet the other members of the Parker family. At a certain point I wanted to kick Colby’s ass myself, he seriously pissed me off. I love Brielle, she is by far one of my favorite female characters that I have came across. The stuff that comes out of her mouth and her thoughts are hilarious. It’s been I while since I laughed out loud at a book. Not all the parts were happy though, I was also crying during certain points of this book.
This is an amazing read and I can’t get over this being Leigh Ann Lunsford’s debut novel. I highly recommend reading. This is the first book in the Parker Siblings series, and I can’t wait to read more.
Addison Parker has loved one boy all her life, Tyler James. She met him the first day of school after moving to Tennessee to live with her grandparents. Through death, raising her younger siblings, betrayal, and heartbreak, he has been there. She has forgiven him for many things, but this time when he leaves, she decides he is not her future anymore.
Tyler James loves Addison Parker. He has made mistakes, but his love is always constant. He wants to be with her, but through lies and misunderstandings it doesn’t seem possible anymore. When a single moment changes his future, will he be able to come back and pick up the pieces of their relationship, or did he finally break all of her faith in him?
Leigh Ann Lunsford, woman your writing is outstanding! I loved the first book and this one just as much. This is the second book of the Parker Siblings series. I won’t go into detail because I dislike spoilers but it truly is an amazing read.
This book begins with Addison and Tyler’s story. Tyler has came back into town wanting his woman back and won’t take no for an answer. Addison is just like the rest of the gang tough as nails with a sweet and sensitive core. She gives Tyler a good fight. Even though Tyler deserves the “jerk of the year award” he does prove that he is worthy of Addison’s love.
This book isn’t totally about Addison and Tyler, other members of the Parker crew are involved. I liked how the POV changes at the right moment, so you know what is going on in each character’s mind. There is never a dull moment when this family is involved. My emotions were all over the place, I was sad, happy, and angry. When you read this book you feel like you are apart of this family and you want everything to work out for them.
The ending got to me, I wasn’t expecting a cliffhanger. I kept swiping my kindle thinking NO this can not be the end. I can’t wait for the next book to see what happens next in the Parker family. Highly recommend.
