RELEASE DAY BLITZ: Wasted by Suzannah Daniels

It all started with sex on the beach…the drink,
not…you know.

As a
bartender, Mason Cambridge often charmed beautiful women who ordered up
cocktails on his shift. It was part of his job after all, and he needed the
tips—badly.

When
Lexi Swafford plopped her pretty little tail down on the bar stool, Mason
offered her a drink. He had no idea that he would soon be working with her or
that he’d be letting her room with him until her new apartment was ready.

In
fact, once Lexi Swafford landed in Creekview, Tennessee, life as Mason
Cambridge knew it would cease to exist…because after a night of drinking away
the agony of his loneliness, one touch from her would change everything.

WASTED
is a new adult contemporary romance recommended for adult readers due to mature
content.

It is
the first book in the WHISKEY NIGHTS series. Since each book in this series

Review
Mason Cambridge is a bartender and a damn good one too. He knows how to use his good looks and his charming personality to land the big tips he so desperately needs. Once he spots a hot chick sitting at his bar he thinks it’s just another tip maybe something a little fun but he doesn’t realize the woman sitting in front of him is about to stir up his life in ways that he never thought possible.
Lexi Swafford is fresh out of college and is new in town. She is about to start her first job working in a bar. One look at Mason and she knew he wasn’t the type of guy she wants. She knows his type, hit it and quit it which is the opposite of what type of guy she wants. With no place to stay for the time being Mason offers her a spot at his place, since he just happened to need a roommate. Not really having any other choice she takes it. Soon Lexi and Mason relationship builds into a friendly working/roommate relationship but their attraction to each other can only be ignored for so long.
Mason and Lexi both have past that prevents them from moving forward relationship wise. Mason is very secretive about his personal life and Lexi wants to know all of him. Lexi has been hurt in the past and knows she is taking a huge risk trying to be with someone like Mason. Can they both finally open their hearts and souls to one another?
Some secrets change everything.
This was my first read by Suzannah Daniels and I loved it. Mason is your typical Alpha male, he is sexy as hell and protective and somewhat damaged. Lexi was  a wonderful heroine, she was sweet and feisty.  Some of the things that Mason has had to deal with is truly heart-breaking. As I read I kept rooting for Lexi and Mason, even though he did kind of make me mad a time or two.  There was a few times that I thought the story might go a different route but didn’t, so I liked how it kept me on my toes.  The way everything wrapped up at the end was perfect.
Suzannah Daniels has
had an affinity for words for as long as she can remember. She grew up in North
Georgia with four brothers, so she learned at an early age to admire snakes and
motorcycles. When she wasn’t pestering her brothers, she could usually be found
reading or writing.

She is
the author of Viking’s Embrace, a historical romance, and Ghostly Encounter,
Book One of her Ghostly series (young adult paranormal romance).

Currently,
she lives in Chattanooga, Tennessee with her husband of twenty-six years and
her teenage daughter. Her son lives nearby. The family pets include a Lab mix,
a Basset Hound, a Shih Tzu, and a sweet, little kitty.
