I really enjoyed this book. It is very well written and is almost impossible to put down.
Megan Verona was raped and years later is still struggling to overcome all the issues that one night caused her. She craves normalcy and is hoping that Declan Conners, her new therapist can get her to where she wants to be.
The first meeting with Megan, Declan immediately knows she is different than all his other patients. She is special and he doesn’t know why he can just feel it. Declan knows the perfect ways to get her to go out of her comfort zone and the more time they spend together the harder they fall. He will protect her and do whatever it takes for her to be truly happy. Declan isn’t perfect though, he also has a past that he struggles with from time to time. When these two are together it seems like there isn’t anything they couldn’t overcome.
There is a twist, and let me tell you it shocked the plum hell out of me. I seriously had my mouth hanging open and tears where streaming down my face. It’s that big of a turning point in this book. I knew I was not going to be able to put this book down until I had all the answers and even the end took me by surprise.
Overall it’s a really good read for those who don’t mind touchy subject matter and enjoy reading about characters that learn to overcome their struggles and fall in love hard.
facts: I’m in my late twenties, I’m married to a great guy who likes to drive
me crazy sometimes, but I love it and him, I am one of those people that when
asked to do something says “No…Yes” (yeah, I know, I’m stuck in the
90’s), I am a total nerd (like you couldn’t tell), I am a Trojan (Fight On!), Iwork in health insurance (fun times-well, I actually work with my sis, so I
guess they technically are fun times), I am way too close to my fam and I feel
like I’m forgetting something, hmm…oh yeah, I LOVE to read and write!!!!
