Easy Virtue (Virtue, #1)Easy Virtue by Mia Asher
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

First I just want to say I became a big fan of Mia Asher after reading Arsen and I was really excited about Easy Virtue. This author writes these books that have characters you love to hate and riveting plot lines.

Blaire White is a gold digger. She lives a lavish lifestyle that is provided solely by men. These men and their bank accounts make her life easy and she believes giving up her virtue for it is worth living the easy life that she needs and craves.

Blaire doesn’t do love, love equals pain in her mind. As a child she never received the tender love and care that she craved from her parents. Once a ugly duckling that turned into a hardcore beauty. She learns fairly quickly that men, no matter their age want her and will provide her with an extravagant life if she gives them her body. She is somewhat like a black widow, fucking these men, taking their money and then when these men are in to deep she inflicts that fatal wound when she leaves them and then proceeds to move on to her next prey.

Two men…

Ronan came out of nowhere. He is nothing like the typical men in Blaire’s life. He isn’t wealthy but he is kind, sweet, and funny. Blaire is drawn to him and he makes her feel which is a mistake. She can’t or chooses not to feel.

Lawrence is exactly the type of man Blaire is used to except he has specific requirements himself. He is rich, attractive, and slightly older. He is very upfront about what he wants from Blaire and what she will receive in return.

Both of these men are polar opposites and I won’t say which one is my pick but there is something about both men that intrigues me. One is somewhat of an open book and the other is secretive. I’m sure book two will give me all the answers I need, who knows it could change my mind of the guy I want Blaire to be with.

As I already stated Mia Asher has books with characters you love to hate and honestly I didn’t care for Blaire but I couldn’t get enough of her. The ending, ugh did not like the way that was going but it left me wanting more. There is somewhat of a love triangle, I’m not sure if “love” is the suitable word for that but it’s there for a short period. I know many don’t like those but I do. I love those emotional highs and lows that I get when reading a book with a love triangle.

Overall I really liked this book and I’m anxious to see what takes place in book two.

Gibson's Legacy (Last Score Book 1)Gibson’s Legacy by K.L. Shandwick
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Gibson Barclay…such a perfect name for a sexy hot rocker.

Gibson is on the rise to becoming the next big Rockstar. He is a chick magnet and takes advantage of every opportunity that comes his way. One girl catches his attention, Chloe there is just something about her that draws him in.

Chloe Jenner is sweet and has very limited experience when it comes to the men. She is in a serious relationship but can’t stop the feelings that flood her brain and body when she is in close proximity with Gibson.

Years later…you will have to read to find out. I hate spoilers so I’m not going to write any. I will say I fell for Gibson early, his manwhorish ways did not stop me at all from wanting more of him.(I think that just added to his appeal) I just had this feeling that there was more to him than meets the eye and I wanted to know every detail. My feelings about Chloe shifted quite a bit from pity to utter frustration then onto happiness. She was very fickle but I understood why.

The book is told in dual POVs and I loved both sides of this story. I must admit I loved being inside Gibson’s head a little bit more and it just made me fall even harder for him. There is plenty of steaminess in the read as well, not too much but just the right amount. There is a cliffhanger but it leaves off at a good stopping point but you will still be wanting the next one ASAP! Overall fantastic read as I thought it would be. If you haven’t read any of K.L. Shandwick’s books then your totally missing out.

Poles ApartPoles Apart by Kirsty Moseley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I was sucked into this book very easily. I ended up reading it in one sitting. The chemistry between Emma Bancoft (lap dancer) and Carson Matthews (bike racer) was off the charts.

Emma and Carson lives couldn’t be more opposite but both are drawn to each other. Emma struggles to make ends meet and Carson has more money than he could ever possibly need. When a secret is revealed everything changes and it could either pull these two closer together or rip their lives apart forever.

There is so much I want to say but I’m keeping it spoiler free. I will say there was one particular scene that had the tears streaming down my face, it seriously broke my heart. I did feel that the ending was a bit rushed but maybe that’s because I didn’t want it to end. Either way I loved this book and as always with Kirsty’s books I can’t wait for more.

Never Never (Never Never, #1)Never Never by Colleen Hoover
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Never Never was completely unlike anything I was expecting. I think it’s important to go into this book completely blind, the less you know the better.

Straight from page one I was like WHOA what the hell is going on. As I followed Silas and Charlie’s on their journey I was totally engrossed in their lives. You get pieces, bit by bit of how Silas and Charlie got to this point in their lives. Every little thing I learned just pulled me into this book more and more.

Yes there is a cliffhanger. It wasn’t one of those I want to throw my kindle across the room kind of cliffhangers but still I’m really wanting book two like NOW please. This young adult read is unique and refreshing. Well done on this collaboration ladies.

chasing Reese. (SAFELIGHT, #1)chasing Reese. by Imy Santiago
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

4.5 Stars

Right from the beginning this book just rips your heart out, even without really knowing the characters yet. It’s just one of those scenes that will bring tears to your eyes.

chasing Reese. is an amazing debut novel. The book is descriptive, but not in the sense that it is too much. As I read I could picture everything perfectly in my mind. The writing just flows beautifully and you will not want to put it down. As far as female characters go Catalina was sweet and sassy, I liked her a lot. The only thing I really struggled with while reading was who I liked better, Stryder or Jackson but after finishing I’ve decided I love them both equally. The guys are polar opposites, Stryder is fun, serious and sweet, while Jackson is wild and spontaneous. These two flip Catalina’s world upside down in the best possible way.

There was a few places in the book that I thought could possibly go another way but it didn’t and I’m glad. The ending…oh man I didn’t see that coming and I’m in desperate need of knowing what happens next. Even though I consider this a sweet read there is plenty of spice as well.

One of my favorite quotes from the book…”You smell amazing, Catalina. I fantasize exploring your wetness with my tongue, tasting, sucking, flicking, and fucking it, taking you over the edge and then some. And when I’ve had my fill of your wetness…that will be my ultimate reward.”

Carnal Persuasion (Severed MC, #4)Carnal Persuasion by K.T. Fisher
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Severed MC series has been my favorite MC series from the beginning. I loved Carnal Persuasion just as much as the other books but it is a little different. Why do I say this? The other books are action-packed while this one has some action also it is no where near the amount we get in the others. With that being said I still loved Cowboy’s story.

Cowboy is broken, he feels like he isn’t good enough and never will be. I would say Cowboy is the most sensitive MC from this series yet, don’t get me wrong he still is a hard and scary as a biker. That sensitive side of him really made me fall hard for this broken biker.

Cowboy and Lucy are close but very complicated. Can they both overcome their own issues and differences and have a future together?

I think K.T. Fisher & Ava Manello make one hell of a team. Once I started reading I couldn’t put it down. As with the other Severed MC books you get several different POVs from many of the main characters. I really enjoy getting pieces of the other characters lives. The cover for Carnal Persuasion is my favorite (Very HOT) and I must say I think Cowboy may be my favorite biker. (I have a thing for hot damaged men) I can’t wait until the next one.

Wicked Spell (Dark Spell, #2)Wicked Spell by Michelle Escamilla

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Wicked Spell is the conclusion to the Dark Spell series.

Emma Blackwood is hurt, just finding out what role Micah played in her father finding her changes things. Emma’s father Sebastian Blackwood is powerful, but it’s not enough he wants Emma’s powers as well. He will stop at nothing until he gets what he wants.

Emma must focus on learning how to control and enhance her powers if she wants to go up against her father. She isn’t too confident that her powers are stronger than his. Many things about Emma’s past are brought to light and she just feels like all the weight has been put on her shoulders. She is also experiencing other strange symptoms and she doesn’t know what is happening with her. Micah and Emma are having major issues and must figure out a way to overcome them. She must lean on her mother and friends for support until she can figure out how to get her life under control.

Overall I enjoyed this book. Just as the first one this is a fast-paced read. It doesn’t go into small details with everything, it’s straight to the point. There was a twist at the end that I thought was very surprising. Kyle has to be my favorite character, he is so funny and sweet. Another thing I really enjoy about this book is even though the focus is mainly on Emma the other characters play major roles in this story also. I would recommend this series for any YA Paranormal fans.

Jealousy (From the Inside Out #2)Jealousy by S.L. Scott

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Jealousy is the continuation of Scorned, From the Inside Out serial. The title is very fitting, jealousy plays a major role in this book. Jules isn’t helping matters with her indecisive behavior.

Austin is still be the amazingly sweet guy he has been since the beginning. He is ready to take things to the next level with Jules. Is she ready?

Dylan is slowly seeping his way back into Jules’s life, he wants her so bad and lives with regret. He is relentless and won’t give up no matter how much she pushes him away.

This one has lies and deceit. That ending, ugh I so want to slap Jules right now. I can’t wait to read Austin’s and Dylan’s books. I’m still team Austin all the way.

Scorned (From the Inside Out, # 1)Scorned by S.L. Scott

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This first book in the From the Inside Out Serial introduces us to Juliette (Jules), and we learn how her life is presently and how Dylan Somers stomped all over it and her heart several years ago leaving her feeling numb.

When Dylan comes back into Jules life after being a ghost for the past few years he tries to slip back into her heart and head once again. Will Jules forgive him? Dylan is a great-looking guy that women have a hard time resisting, even the one that he caused so much pain isn’t blind to how attractive he is.

When Jules spends an incredible evening with Austin Barker, one of her top buyers at the gallery, he seems to spark a some feeling in that numbness that has taken a hold of her since Dylan. He is very attractive, wealthy, and oh so sweet. Jules loves the person she is when she is with Austin but her mind seems to wonder to Dylan every now and then.

For a quick read it was really good. I personally would have liked a little more steaminess but I still enjoyed it. Currently I’m team Austin all the way and I don’t see how Dylan can change my mind but there is always a possibility I guess. I’m looking forward to reading Jealousy.

LicentiousLicentious by Jen Cousineau

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Licentious is about two people, Joey and Alessandro that have troubled past that have left them lost and broken in this world.

On Joey’s eighteenth birthday she had big plans, plans that would forever change her life in the best way possible, Unfortunately things happened that night that did forever change her life but in the worst way. As time passes Joey isn’t the same happy go lucky girl she used to be, she is broken and trapped in the tragedies of her life.

Alessandro isn’t living the life he had planned for himself. After his brother was murdered he needed to stay with his family so he gets into the family business. This business isn’t your typical family business it’s lethal. Alessandro isn’t happy, after the death of his brother it changed him, he has been living in the dark ever since.

When Joey and Alessandro’s lives collide it’s like all their darkness is starting to fade and the light is slowly shining through. That is until secrets get revealed that can tear their new found happiness to pieces.

I thought this was a good read, I started and finished in one day. It’s pretty dark a certain points in the story. I felt for Joey, that girl went through so much and her mom, oh I hated that women with a passion. I expected Alessandro to be an arrogant ass but he wasn’t, he was passionate, caring, and protective. I really liked how everything played out in the end.

Hired Gun (Hired Gun, Serial #1)Hired Gun by A.J. Bennett

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

In this first book of this serial we meet Thorne Hallow. He is immortal, banished from the gods to roam the earth. Thorne is now a bad-ass assassin for Sicarii, as a member of this supernatural society his duties are to protect humans from all the creatures that may be lurking in the night.

Thorne is one sexy beast, he has nothing but time on his hands so he spends it by killing and f**king. Thorne had a bad experience with love and is not interested in that ever happening again, it still effects him to this day. One night out he meets a unique women with powers unlike any other he has ever met, he is intrigued.

Basically this first book you get to know Thorne, some about his past, his personality, and how he works. I read this in no time, partly because it is so short and I was also drawn to Thorne’s character. Just as it starts to get hot and heavy it’s over leaving you wanting more. If you a fan of Paranormal Romance with some steamy goodness then I believe you would enjoy this. I’m looking forward to the next one.

EmpathyEmpathy by Ker Dukey

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is going to be a tough review to write, because ever since I finished I just want to talk about how much this book just f**ked with my head and all that has happened. That being said I will try my best to keep this review spoiler free. This book will captivate you from beginning to the end. Then once finished you can’t get it out of your head, it will be implanted in your brain for days, hell even weeks.

Every single thing about this book oozes brilliance, Ker Dukey has mastered the art of crazy in her writing and has created this highly entertaining, suspenseful masterpiece.

Melody has had a privileged upbringing with loving parents. She is fresh at college and is having a hard time adjusting being away from loved ones. There is one guy that has caught her eye, Ryan. Ryan is dark and mysterious in a very sexy way. He seems to shield himself from the world by remaining silent, which has Melody intrigued. When an assignment is brought to the class’s attention she is in need of a partner, unfortunately for her one of the assholes from class has set his site on her. Just in the knick of time Ryan saves the day by saying he is her partner. Lucky Melody.

Shorty after an eventful class Melody literally runs into this intense, hateful guy who she finds out later on is Blake, Ryan’s brother. Blake is dominant, sexy, a walking contradiction if you will. Hero by day, contract killer by night. Yeah you heard that right. When a job turns ugly confusion sets in, things he doesn’t want to feel starts to surface.

When Melody’s loved ones are taken away she changes, her light has been covered in darkness and left her to drown in sorrow. This isn’t her only problem she is in danger….

This book will have you so wrapped up in all the events taking place that just when you get all cocky and think you have it figured out, you will be wrong, so wrong. Blake was sinfully sexy, Ryan was very attuned with his sexual fantasies, and Melody was along for the ride. For all you psychological thriller fans that love some romance entwined within all the craziness, this is your next book fix.

Bang BangBang Bang by Rachel Van Dyken

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Bang Bang is Ax and Amy’s story. This is a standalone novella that goes along with the Eagle Elite Series. It’s not necessary to read the series before starting this one, but I recommend it.

Ax and Amy were friends growing up, best friends. He was her protector, her shelter from all the hell in her life. He would sacrifice everything to save her. One night changes everything…. pain…loss…memories…

Years pass and Ax and Amy have lived very different lives. One holds all the answers about what happened in the past, the other is in the dark. When everything is revealed will there be forgiveness? Love? Hate?

Well you will have to read to find out…

I’m going to keep this review pretty simple, because I don’t want to ruin any of the surprises throughout the book. Ax is perfectly sweet, sexy, and knows all the right things to say to have you swooning big time. As far as female characters go I really liked Amy, she is strong yet delicate, brave, yet shy. This was a enjoyable quick read. I recommend reading for all you Eagle Elite fans.

Stepbrother DearestStepbrother Dearest by Penelope Ward

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is my first read by Penelope Ward, I must say it was everything I hoped it would be. After reading the synopsis and seeing teasers I knew this book was right up my alley. Stepbrother Dearest has two parts within the same book.

Part One:

Greta’s stepbrother is coming to live with them for their senior year. They have never met but she is quite anxious to meet him. What she doesn’t expect is her instant attraction to him, he makes her feel flustered and nervous.

Elec…such a fitting name, it’s sexy, unique, and alluring which describes him perfectly. Elec isn’t to pleased about moving in with his father, Greta, and her mother. His plans…to make Greta’s life a living hell, he finds ways to make Greta uncomfortable, it gets him off seeing her squirm. As with many things in life plans change whether you want them to or not.

Part Two:

Fast forward seven years and a tragedy brings Greta and Elec face to face once again. Both have moved on with their lives but haven’t forgotten the time they shared together. The more time they spend together the harder it is for them to deny that attraction but both know they’re not in the position to act on it. Greta is afraid she will have her heart broken once again.

I didn’t really find this book to be about a forbidden relationship, well not in the way you would think with the book title. I loved everything about this book and the way everything came together at the end was icing on the cake.

Just StayJust Stay by Michelle Abbott

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Pia Hamilton is on a two week vacation with her family. She is dreading this vacation, she believes she is doomed for boredom. When she meets the first guy her age she doesn’t want to be bothered by him, he is an arrogant jerk.
Trey Baker is determined to have Pia, she is nothing like his typical conquest. There is something about her that drives him mad and he will be relentless until she finally gives in and goes out with him.

The more time Pia and Trey spend together the harder it gets for them not to get their emotions involved. Being that it’s just a vacation it would be hard to make anything out of the friendship they have built over a short period of time.

I thought this was a quick enjoyable read. This book is told in two POVs, the first half is Pia’s and the second half is Trey’s. I must admit I enjoyed Trey’s POV more. At the beginning there is quite a bit of humor, loved the nicknames. Toward the end things get a little more serious, I felt for Trey. Trey may come off as arrogant but I believe it’s just a front to cover up his real issues. Trey is funny, sweet, and the things he can do in the kitchen definitely makes him a keeper in my book. I must admit I didn’t particularly care for Pia’s character at the beginning, she just seemed like she thought she was better than everyone else, but I guess that can be typical at that age sometimes. She eventually grew on me though. I’m looking forward to reading more from Michelle Abbott.

With her father’s death brought on all the responsibility of helping maintain the gyms with her now co-owner Joe. Jax is confident, sexy, smart, and sweet, looking like a fighter god in the gym and a sexy millionaire in suit. Even though Lily finds Jax to be irresistible she isn’t too sure about mixing business with pleasure again, being the first experience turned into a train wreck.

Jax has withheld some information pertaining to his interest of MMA Gyms. When outside entities purposely set out to destroy the relationship Jax and Lily have built in such a short time, tempers flare and everything spins out of control. Can Jax and Lily overcome these obstacles or will they let it rip them apart?

Overall I really enjoyed this book. Lily, boy she really wrecked my nerves during one point in this book. I seriously wanted to slap some sense into her, but that is what I love about books, I want them to mess with my nerves and make me feel emotions and that happened in this book. Jax, loved every single thing about this man, I wouldn’t change a thing about him. Swoon….
Caden, ugh hated him with a passion. Loathe…Despise…Detest..yeah all those sums up my feelings for him. I really enjoyed the epilogue and thought Worth Forgiving did justice bringing this series to an end.

Strip TeaserStrip Teaser by Ava Manello

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Strip Teaser was a fun and unexpected read. The reason I say unexpected, well I assumed it would have been more dirtier being that male strippers were involved but I was wrong.

When Sally gets assigned to go on tour with Naked Nights Male Stripper Troupe to expose their dirty secrets she isn’t to happy. She soon discovers that these men do not fit into the stereotypical class as male strippers, well most of them that is. Sally ends up befriending these guys and gets a little too excited by one of the strippers, Alex. Unfortunately there policy of hands off is keeping that flame from igniting.

Overall this was a fun and sweet read. I really liked how these guys weren’t trashy and showed how wrong it is to judge someone just because of there job title. Alex was sweet and sexy and I definitely wouldn’t mind getting my own personal lap dance from him. Go one-click!

Perfect TenPerfect Ten by Michelle Craig

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Joe Starlings is an escort at Perfect Ten. Over the years and many women later Joe has worked himself to the top, being the most requested escort. Joe is what you would imagine a male escort would be like, he is sexy, confident, and isn’t afraid to go after what he wants. Lately he seems like his life is missing something, the money and women seem to be less fulfilling than what it used to be. When Faith Graham comes in to meet Joe at Perfect Ten to insure he is the right guy for her, Joe is immediately taken by her. Unfortunately for him Faith wants nothing to do with him.

Faith Graham isn’t like the typical women looking for an escort, as a matter she is opposed to the entire idea of it. Faith has had a privileged upbringing but it’s far from perfect. Even though she is insecure of herself she still knows exactly what she wants from a man. One look at Joe and she knows there is no way he is the guy she should be taking to her sister’s wedding. She believes Joe is way too sexy for someone like her, nobody in their right mind would believe they’re an actually couple. Joe seems to think differently and is willing to do whatever is necessary to push those thoughts from Faith’s mind.

This book is told from dual POVs between Joe and Faith. Joe is one sexy, funny guy who happens to love every part of the female anatomy, especially the important parts.(hint, hint) I couldn’t help but have a goofy smile plastered to my face while reading Joe’s POV. He is definitely a “Perfect Ten” in my book. Faith’s POV isn’t as upbeat as Joe’s POV but I still enjoyed it and thought her friends were pretty awesome. I really enjoy these types of books, it isn’t often you find a book that doesn’t have the “perfect” looking woman to go along with the “perfect” looking man. I thought the epilogue was just perfect and I’m looking forward to reading more from this author.

Bittersweet RevengeBittersweet Revenge by J.L. Beck

Jenna Rae Hanes is about to embark on her final year of high-school. Usually this would be an exciting time for any teen, but not for Jenna. Her high-school career has become a living hell, filled with lies and bullying brought on my the one and only Corey Winchester, her ex. She is now known as the school slut.

Corey Winchester is the “man” at school, he is good-looking, comes from wealth, and nobody wants to get on his bad side. He is one nasty piece of work and is hellbent on making Jenna’s life hell. When his cousins come to stay with his family, one seems to find Jenna to be irresistible.

Rex Winchester is as hot as they come and sweet. You wouldn’t think he was born in the same family as Corey. He is taken by Jenna and will do whatever he can to make her happy, even if he has to go against his own family.

Secrets that have been hidden in the dark come to light and Jenna must decide who to trust while piecing everything together.

I thought this was a good quick read. The title of this series fits this book perfectly and you will find out why whenever you read it. The end was not what I expected and the epilogue sets up the next book nicely. As with many novellas, I feel that the story was a little rushed but it didn’t keep me from getting sucked right in. I’m looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

One Wild Night [Enjoying the Chase Novella]One Wild Night [Enjoying the Chase Novella] by Kirsty Moseley

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

One Wild Night follows Nate, Ashton, and their gang on one wildly entertaining adventure that celebrates Nate’s last night as a free man. The plans that Ashton conjured up for Nate’s special night with the boys made this one epic bachelor party they will never forget.

For a short read it is packed with humor. I was laughing through the entire book. This may be the funniest read I have encountered yet. I really enjoyed getting to see a different side of Kirsty’s writing, One Wild Night is totally different from her normal books and it just shows how truly talented she is to be able to switch it up so well.

One Wild Night is a must read for those wanting more of Ashton and Nate. Not only does this book help out a charity, you get tons of laughs with it. Go One-click!

Lily is on her wedding anniversary getaway, the problem is her husband isn’t with her. He couldn’t get off of work which leaves her going on this trip alone.

One potent cocktail…one sexy, dominant man…one unforgettable trip that has changed Lily’s life forever.

I’m not going into details because I don’t want to ruin anything but I must say it’s not for the light hearted. It’s not too terribly dark in my opinion, I’ve read darker. The ending definitely took me by surprise and make this quick read even more enjoyable.

The Learning Curve (Inner Strength, #1)The Learning Curve by Helen J. Barnes

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Jessica Stark’s life has changed drastically over the past year. Now being a single mom with 2 kids, she decides it’s time to focus on herself. She decides it’s time to go back to school so she can get the job she has always wanted.

To Jessica’s surprise, she finds that her new tutor is very good-looking,and can’t help how much she is attracted to this man, Trent. Just maybe he might find her just as attractive. Unfortunately school policy keeps them from being able to pursue any type of relationship other than tutor/student. How long can they keep temptation at bay?

Jessica also has a new found best friend Clary who she can confide in about her and Trent’s situation. The more Jessica and Clary hang out the more questions arise about how much she truly knows about her new friend.

Finally being happy for once since her life has changed, Jessica’s ex Ryan seems to take notice. He starts acting a little strange, like maybe he has had a change of heart. Can they overcome the past and have another go at it?

I thought this was a great story, it seemed so realistic. I usually don’t care for lead female characters because the typical ones are weak and whine a lot but Jessica wasn’t like that. She is like any other single mom trying to make a better life for herself and kids. Even though she was trying to focus on herself she couldn’t help but to be there for everyone else and trying to make sure everyone was happy. There was some humor is this book, seriously one part I laughed out loud and many parts I couldn’t contain my cheesy grin. Trent was very yummy and I so want to go back to college hoping I could find me a Trent. Ryan was…well ok hot but I had mixed feelings about him, I went from feeling sorry for him to he needs a good kick in the balls. I’m looking forward to reading more from this author.

Bittersweet Love (Bittersweet #2)Bittersweet Love by J.L. Beck

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Bittersweet Love is book 2 in the Bittersweet Series. It picks up with Jenna and Mimi in college.
Jenna is learning how to let go of the past, it’s not easily done since the ones that caused her so much heartache is lurking around the same college she attends. Many months have past and she still isn’t quite over Rex, even though she wants to be. When Mimi decides it’s time for some good college fun she makes Jenna tag along. Just so happens they’re not the only ones who decided to go to that club that night.
Rex knows he messed up and wants Jenna to to give him another chance. Jenna is still skeptical about trusting Rex even though he makes her happier than she has been in a while. Even though she is in a good place at the moment with Rex doesn’t mean the drama is completely gone. Ryder seems to have alterior motives for being around Jenna, what those motives are, I’m still not quite sure yet and neither is Jenna.
Corey and Mimi has some major drama happening with this read but with this book ending the way it did I know there is more to come. Corey is trying not to be the biggest asshole on the planet, he is struggling but has made somewhat of an improvement. Mimi is like that friend everyone has, you know the loud, wild one that you can’t help but love. They both act as if they want each other and hate each other at the same time. I can’t believe I’m going to say this because as much as I dislike Corey for tormenting Jenna in highschool, I hope him and Mimi work their issues out.
The epilogue has me very interested on what’s going to take place next. Even though Ryder kind of acts like a douche, I think he is sexy, there is something going on and I want to know so freaking bad what his deal is. Rex still has me swooning with all his sweetness. I don’t hate Corey so much after this book, but doesn’t mean I like him either. I have so many questions I want answered. I’m looking forward to devouring Bittersweet Hate.

Ugly Love

Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

When Colleen Hoover releases a new book I feel like a kid on Christmas Day who has just opened the gift that I hoped and wished for. I don’t think there is anything this amazing author could write that I wouldn’t love.

Tate is just moving in with her brother and after her long tiring trip to his apartment she stumbles upon a very sexy, drunken mess, Miles. She hasn’t a clue who this delicious looking man is but he must be someone her brother feels comfortable with since he wants her to help him out. The next morning when the alcohol has wore off Tate and Miles seem to have this undeniable attraction that cannot be squandered. Both aren’t in a good place for a typical relationship so they find a way to release some of that steamy goodness by having somewhat a friends with benefits relationship, but they in no way act like friends. There is only two rules… Never ask about the past. Don’t expect a future.

This is a very emotional read, mostly for me because of Miles. He has a sad soul and as you read you will anxiously await for the reason that has caused this sadness. I kind of felt for Tate but she knew the rules but unfortunately love isn’t always easy and can slowly creep up on you without even realizing what has happened until it’s too late to turn back.

The relationship Tate built with Cap was the sweetest thing. Tate was lucky enough to receive words of wisdom from a man who has been around and learned about life over time.

Even though the title is Ugly Love, there isn’t anything ugly about Colleen’s writing. She knows how to captivate her readers and give us these powerful emotionally charged love stories. This book has a little more steam compared to Colleen’s other books and I loved every single minute of it.

Ok, so I read this about a week ago and have been putting off my review because I’m just having a hard time rating this book. There were things I liked and some things I didn’t like so much.

It begins with Alexia leaving her douche of a boyfriend and is starting a new chapter in her life. An old friend has let her move in and helped her get a job with her as a temp at a sports agency. Alexia soon finds out that things can get pretty steamy at work behind closed doors.

Alexia is somewhat inexperienced at sex, the only sexual relationships she has had was not normal so they left her unsatisfied and unsure about sex. When she first lays eyes on the handsome Nathan, which happens to be her boss she feels some sparks or shall I say wetness from seeing him. This new job seems to burst open all of Alexia’s sexual needs because she seems to get turned on by every male she encounters. One of her fellow employees Tom wants Alexia bad, and comes on to her strong and if she didn’t like it so much I would say he is a borderline rapist, if that makes any since. Another male in her life is Richard a friend of her roommate who is dead set on teaching and helping Alexia satisfy her sexual needs. While things get heated at work and home for Alexia she seems to go on a roller-coaster ride of emotions and confusion.

In the end will she finally get the one she has wanted all along? You will have to read to find out.

I must say the erotic scenes were pretty hot in this book. The main thing that got to me was how Alexia was so inexperienced but seemed to get turned on by every male that came near her or every time she thought about sex. The “squirting” in her panties kind of drove me a little crazy but in all it was a pretty sexy read. If you are into books that have a lot of erotic scenes then I would say you would enjoy this book.

Definitely recommend this sweet, enjoyable read.

Always YoursAlways Yours by Shelly Jones

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Katie has faced more than most have, she had the love of her life leave her, been beaten to almost death, and lost her husband while she was pregnant. Even with all that has been thrown her way she seems to somehow stay strong. As time has past since she lost her husband secrets that were supposed to stay hidden get revealed, Katie finds out that things are not always what they may seem.

Eric is back in town for his best friend’s wedding and it couldn’t be more perfect timing since he just recently found his fiance in the bed with another man. He has come back hoping to win back the girl he loved that he had walked away from many years ago. Eric has made many mistakes in the past and has grown up since then, now he must prove he will not break her heart again.

I thought this was an awesome debut novel and I am looking forward to reading more from Shelly Jones. This book did have a very realistic feel to it. I was laughing, feeling a little teary eyed, and a little angry during certain parts this book, it brought out my emotions. Eric is very swoon-worthy and how he is with Ava is the cutest thing. The ending was great with a perfect epilogue. Definitely recommend one-clicking.

For RhuineFor Rhuine by A.J. Summer

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is my first read by A.J. Summer and it won’t be my last. This book takes you on the journey of Madeleine Saltz while she tries to discover the missing pieces in her life.

Madi is currently residing in the nut house, after a mental breakdown and an event she seems to forgotten which left her missing for a few days so her mom sends her to Green Hill Mental Institution. Is she really crazy? Maybe, maybe not. I guess that depends on what you believe in. She is somewhat obsessed with a guy, Rhuine. He has been coming in and out of her life since she was young, and she has fallen in love with him. He always in the background trying to keep Madi out of trouble and he is very possessive over her. She loves it though and seems to want to find ways to bring out that possessiveness.

Madi’s memories remain her biggest problem at the moment. She knows that the one memory she is seeking has something to do with Rhuine and it’s making her a little crazy not knowing. What will she do when she discovers it, well you will have to read to find out.

While reading you can’t help but try and figure out what is really going on with Madi. Sometimes I thought she is insane and other times not so much. I liked the writing style and the story itself, but I wanted more Rhuine which is why I would have to rate it at 3.5 stars. I kept reading and anxiously waiting for that next moment when Rhuine would be back in the story. So with that being said I can’t wait for To Rhetribution to come out, which you get a little teaser of after finishing For Rhuine. I think this would be a good book for those who enjoy young adult reads with a little paranormal twist.

Love with Every BeatLove with Every Beat by K.L. Shandwick

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Love With Every Beat is Alfie’s pov from all three books in The Everything Trilogy. The Everything Trilogy is one of my favorite series I have read this year and getting Alfie’s side of the story just made me love it more.

I won’t go in details with this review because if you have read The Everything Trilogy you know the gist of this story, but being in Alfie’s head gives you a true understanding about why he acted the way he did and why he is was hot one minute and cold the next toward Lily. To be honest I thought Alfie was a little too cocky and kind of an asshole in the trilogy, not the entire trilogy but a good part of it, but after reading this I was quick to change my mind and when you read you will find out why. I fell in love with Alfie hard in this book.

K.L. Shandwick did an amazing job writing Alfie’s pov. Most male povs we get are just one book, she wrote it for all three and I loved every minute of it. It doesn’t go over every single moment throughout the trilogy which I think is great, because the story doesn’t feel too redundant and you get the important parts. It is long since it goes over three books, but that didn’t stop me from devouring this book, I seriously started reading one night and had to force myself to put it down just to get a few hours of sleep only to wake up and finish the book. Highly recommend this series, go one-click you won’t be disappointed!.

Carnal Desire (Severed MC, #2)Carnal Desire by K.T. Fisher

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Carnal Desire picks up right where Severed Angel left off. I didn’t think it was possible to love this book more than the first, but I did. You not only get the sexy as hell Angel but you get more of Ink and all his hottness as well.

With Satan out trying to destroy his brothers life, Angel must do whatever is necessary to protect the woman he loves. Satan is as evil as they come and is a sick and twisted individual.

A new character is brought into the mix, Elle. Eve meets her on her way back to England and they just clicked and feel like they can share whatever with each other. Elle has the hots for Ink and the more time the two spend together the steamier the book gets.

Many twist and turns throughout this book that will have you devouring this book, wanting to know what is going to take place next. I really liked how this book had the multiple povs, it added so much more to the entire story. Just as the first book it has just the right amount of page melting hot scenes. Did not disappoint at all! Highly recommend!

ChartreuseChartreuse by T.E. Ridener

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I wasn’t for sure what to expect when I found out this was a M/M Romance, because I hadn’t read one until now. This story goes beyond the fact whether it’s M/M or M/F and will have you emotional wrapped up in this book.

Kasen has lived in the small town of Chartreuse, Alabama his entire life. He hasn’t any experiences outside of this town. He recently moved into his own apartment, getting away from his mother who is not the loving mom she should be. Kasen is a very timid individual in person, but he let’s himself be someone totally different while working nights as a radio personality. Being from a small town, he isn’t comfortable with his sexuality because that’s not what people believe in around here.

Rowan has recently moved to Chartreuse from Boston. He has always wanted to live in a small town where everyone knows each other and start a business. So that’s just what he has done. He is used to being very open about his sexuality, but just after being in this town he believes it may be frowned upon. Rowan knows that he needs love in his life but after being hurt in the past he hasn’t put himself back out there since.

Kasen and Rowans’ journey is filled with love, hatred, and acceptance. They face many challenges that no person should have to deal with. Being together, Kasen learns to be stronger as an individual and Rowan learns to overcome his past to take a chance at being happy once again.

This is a very inspiring read that left me thinking about how people have to face these types of challenges everyday. I must say I enjoyed my first M/M Romance, so thanks T.E. Tidener for writing this beautiful story.

MacKenna Trist and Roe Gamble meet at Mrytle Beach while both are there on vacation with their families. They’re inseparable, the more time they spend together the harder they fall for one another.

One person from Mac’s life has other plans for Mac and Roe and will do what is necessary to keep them apart. Roe and Mac must fight to be together.

This was a very enjoyable read. It is told from both the main character’s POVs. Roe is so sweet and just knows all the right things to do and say. Mac is innocent and fun and I liked her character as well. Their relationship comes together quickly and they go through so many ups and downs, which only made me want them be together even more. This story has a little bit of everything from love, loss, drama, and suspense. I think this is a good read for teens and up.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

One night of fun for Charley turned into a nightmare involving her bad boy boyfriend Dylan. This night changed Charley and made her trust no one except her best friend Cash. After struggling with the decision of where to go to college she makes a last minute decision to go to Southern. Charley is tired of her past bringing her down and is wanting to have the full college experience, partying and all.

As Charley’s first year of college kicks off she meets some amazing girls and a guy named Joe that she likes. Charley loves Cash, always had since they were kids, but she isn’t wanting to be tied down at college so she lets loose with Joe and feels she can trust him. Charley spends her time at practice, handling her classes, and partying with all her new friends.

When a surprise letter comes in the mail for Charley she is shocked and worried. She may not be able to get over that one nightmare that seems to be finding its way back into her life. Luckily for Charley she has the best friends who are willing to protect her no matter what. She decides she will not let it hold her back and focuses on having fun.

When a shocking discovery is revealed it will leave you thinking, OMG!

I absolutely loved this book. Being from the area and knowing so many places during the story just made me love it even more. Charley is a good country girl that isn’t going to let her past get in the way of having a good time. Cash is oh my freaking amazing, I just love a hot country boy who is protective of what he loves. Joe was so hot and sexy but I wasn’t for sure about what type of feelings he had for Charley. I was having a hard time choosing who I wanted Charley to pick throughout the book, but I always leaned toward Cash the most. That ending, holy hell that was very unexpected. They’re a lot of books I kind of can figure out, but that I did not see coming, so yeah that leads to a major cliffhanger.

Finding Charley (Full Circle, #2)Finding Charley by Casey Peeler

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Finding Charley starts off right where No Turning Back left off. I enjoyed the first one and this one even more.

After Joe’s revelation which stunned and hurt Charley, she decides it’s time to do things herself. She needs to stop depending on Cash for when things get tough and learn to overcome them herself. After exams are over she heads home for winter break. She has come to the conclusion it is time to fight for her live back, get out of the hold Dylan has over her. What she has in mind won’t be easy and could possibly break Cash’s heart. In order for her plan to work she needs everyone she trusts in on it and she is hoping everything works as planned so she can finally be free and be with the one she loves, Cash.

Charley has great friends and family that support her. I love the Kluft Girls, they all have each others back no matter what, and they definitely know how to party. In this book you get to know Piper and Tessa more than the first book. Cash supports and loves Charley, he is willing to put aside his feelings to help Charley do what she believes is necessary for taking Dylan down.

This series is highly addicting. I had this book read in one day, I had to know if Charley is successful with her plan and if her and Cash finally get their HEA. I know I have plenty of book boyfriends I love, but damn Cash is…sigh… so sexy and knows all the right things to say. I gotta love that hot country boy. This one ends with a cliffhanger and you will want to jump right into the next one. Luckily you don’t have to wait for the conclusion because Loving Charley is out!!!

Loving Charley picked up right where Finding Charley left off. This is the conclusion to the Full Circle Series and you must read them in order to understand everything that is taking place.

After Cash has finally whooped Dylan’s ass, Charley knows she must finally come clean to everyone about her situation with Dylan. This is the only way Dylan can get what he deserves and maybe it will keep Cash from going to jail. After everyone knows the situation she has even more support than before.

When it is time for trial Charley must face the facts that Dylan may get away with what he did to her and Cash could end up in jail for protecting her. What she does know for sure is that Cash is her forever and they will have each other no matter what the judge rules.

I really enjoyed this entire series. I loved Charley, her family, the Kruft Girls, Piper and Joe, and I can’t forget Cash. Cash as I said in my reviews for the other two books is so yummy and had me swooning throughout this series. He is seriously my favorite country boy book boyfriend. I loved how this book concluded the Full Circle Series, it was perfect. I must say I don’t particularly care for novellas but I would enjoy reading more about Charley and Cash.(Hint, Hint) This series gives a whole new meaning when I say “I need more Cash Money!” Definitely recommending this series.

As Reese discovers some deceitful evidence that could jeopardize Casteel Motosports, she is put in a tough situation. Reese and Everett have grown close but she knows this evidence could possibly hurt him. When everything is laid out they will start to question their trust with one another.

I really liked this story, and enjoyed following Reese and Everett as they pushed past their insecurities and tried to move on with their lives with each other. The sex was very steamy, not too much and not too little, just the right amount. Everett is sexy, possessive, and just the right amount of sweetness. I thought Reese was a great female character, she was strong and could put Everett in his place. Overall this is a very enjoyable read.

The Beats In RiftThe Beats In Rift by Ker Dukey

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Wow, what a fantastic read. Once I started I didn’t stop until I was finished. This was my first read by Ker Dukey and guess who is now a fan, yeah you got that right, this chick.

Meadow wanted to be invisible, she didn’t have the roughest life but it was the easiest either. She was teased and bullied at school by being known as the girl that is “easy” just like her mother. Meadow had always felt alone, that was until the Jacob twins came into her life toward the end of summer. They became best friends, Meadow never had to be alone again she always had at least one by her side.

The Jacob twins, Jared and Justin had a much easier home life, they were the wealthy, popular kids. Jared, the musician, the bad boy if you will, had met his soul-mate when Meadow came into his life. Their personalities being so similar they just had that one of kind relationship that was so perfect, that was until he abandoned her. Justin the All-American football star, destined for great things. He has been in love with Meadow since the first day he laid eyes on her. When his brother abandoned Meadow Justin was there to pick up the pieces. The more time Justin and Meadow spent together the closer they became.

Meadow finds her self on one hell of a roller-coaster ride with the twins. The twins come and go in her life and always leave her confused and heartbroken. Jared and Justin are in a battle over who can get the girl they both love, but will Meadow finally reach a breaking point and move forward with her life without them? With the twin’s dad always in the background messing with the boy’s heads and emotionally and physically torturing Meadow, will he ever get what he deserves?

I loved this book. First, you can’t go wrong with hot twins brothers. Second, what girl doesn’t love to be the center of attention between hot men. Third, the way the book is written will have you wondering if what you thought happened, actually happened. Toward the end of this book got a little crazy and I loved every second of it. Highly recommend reading this book!

One Night (One Night, #1)One Night by A.M. Willard

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

One night is part one of a three part series. It is a quick read that will leave you wanting more at the end.

Angela Nicole Stephens travels for work, always going from one hotel to the next. Her husband, Christopher travels as well, but unfortunately they’re rarely together. Angela is on her new job location working with Black Enterprises, she is there to see why business is declining in this five star hotel and report back to Mr.Black with her findings.

Lately Angela has been thinking it’s time to settle down and start actually having a normal relationship with her husband, she is tired of being apart. She believes it is time to have a good talk with her husband, maybe a surprise visit.

Angela’s job requires her to test out the facilities of the hotel and finds out why this hotel may be losing customers. She takes notes of everything she will report to Mr.Black. Deciding to try out the lounge for a few drinks she meets Mr.Bartender who is very attractive and charming. She is married and knows she needs to brush off Mr.Bartender but will the circumstances change and have her thinking otherwise?

I used to not be a fan of shorts stories but here lately I have grown to like them. Even with the length of this story I did relate to Angela’s character. What I thought was going to play out at first ended up not happening, which I liked because I enjoy unpredictable reads. As I read the last sentence of this book, I immediately wanted to read the next. If you are a fan of quick reads I believe you will enjoy this one.

Emma Chase (Sins of the Father, #1)Emma Chase by Jen Khan

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Emma Chase is a survivor. Losing her mother at a young age left her alone with her worthless father, Joe. She basically raises herself and learned at a young age she must work to have anything for herself. She not only takes care of herself but handles her father’s debts as well. As Emma gets older she continues to work her way up into a management position and is able to provide herself with a stable home.

Emma’s father has always left her to deal with his sins. One horrific night that brings Emma’s world crashing down, and she goes to the one person that always made her feel safe, Braden.

Braden has never stopped loving Emma, even after she left him a year ago. When she comes back into his life broken he does whatever he can to help her heal and will fight to stay in her life this time.

Just when Emma and Braden think everything will be fine, tragedy strikes again. Will Emma give up or will she fight back this time?

I thought this was a great book. The first chapter blew my mind with the disturbingly, violent graphic scenes so be prepared. The rest of the book is basically Emma learning to cope with the shitty life she has been given and Braden helping her get her life back. Braden is an sexy, sweet, patient, and protective guy. I really enjoyed Emma’s character, she went through so much and still had some spunk to her. As you read you will be rooting for Emma and Braden all the way.

Apartment 2BApartment 2B by K. Webster

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The beginning of this book had some quite disturbing scenes. The mother….ugh, hated her so much. For those who know the movie “The People Under the Stairs” Sidney’s mother reminded me of the crazy mother from that movie. When Sidney is finally free from the constant abuse she has endured she has to learn how to live like a normal human being. She has a friend/therapist that helps her learn how to do the normal things she wasn’t able to do with her mother around.

Shortly after moving into her new apartment she meets Liam, she finds him to be scary at first, but the closer she gets to him the more she is attracted to him. The more time they spend together the more Sidney starts to come out of her shell and her OCDs seems to be diminishing everyday.

I loved this book, it is brilliantly written and very unexpected. This book has one of those rare qualities that you don’t find in many books, and I can’t even explain what I mean without ruining the book. With that being said, just go one-click and start reading, you will not be disappointed. This was my first read by K. Webster and most definitely won’t be my last.

Reasons Not to Fall in LoveReasons Not to Fall in Love by Kirsty Moseley

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Bronwyn Reynolds married and became a mom at a young age. Her marriage sucks and she is struggling to pay the bills each month. The only good thing she has going for her is her son Theo.

When Bronwyn heads back to her hometown she meets Harrison Baxter. He is sexy, flirty, and a ladies man. She is very attracted to him but she is married and isn’t the type of person that would cheat, no matter how crappy her marriage is.

Harrison has never wanted more from any women until Bronwyn walks into his life. Of course, the one that he wants is unavailable, but that doesn’t stop him from wanting her any less.

Many years pass and Bronwyn and Harrison see each other at family gatherings and still have that attraction and chemistry when they’re together. Will they be able to fight their want for each other forever or do they finally give in?

I am a huge Kirsty Moseley fan, I enjoy her writing style and her ability to bring us these truly wonderful characters that are easy to fall in love with. Bronwyn and Harrison are wonderful when they are together, I was rooting for them to be together from the moment they met, the way this novella ended there could possibly be more to their story or at least I want more. If your looking for a short enjoyable read, this is the book for you.

Hook Me (Men of Inked, #2)Hook Me by Chelle Bliss

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Gallo family is back and I loved every second reading about Michael. Michael is the fighter in the family, he is bad-ass, sexy, and cocky. He has never been one to settle down, hooking up with chicks was his thing until he meets Mia.

Mia Greco doesn’t have time for anything but her job. She is a passionate doctor who works in the ER. When she finds a hot patient needing some doctoring in her room she felt a little heated just from this short interaction with this man. Thinking she would never see him again, she brushes it off but fate would seem to have other plans for Mia and Michael.

One night out changes everything, Michael and Mia happen to be at the same club and hit it off. The more time they spend together the closer they become and the hotter their relationship becomes.

One problem, Tammy (clinging psycho) has some serious issues and could cause trouble between Michael and Mia. Will Tammy finally get what she wants from Michael? What she reveals could destroy the relationship Michael and Mia have built so far.

I thought this was a very good read. I felt I got to know the Gallo family a bit more in this book, and I loved how supportive and loving they are toward each other. Michael’s add-ons (you will know what I’m talking about after you read) were hot as hell and now I’m very intrigued. Mia is a great match for Michael’s cockiness, she knew how to give it right back to him. Overall I thought this was a great book. I’m looking forward to reading about Izzy and the rest of the Men of Inked Series.

Claiming EcstasyClaiming Ecstasy by Madeline Pryce

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I don’t read many short stories but this has to be the hottest quickie I have ever came across. From the very first sentence you are brought into an intense, mind-blowing sexual encounter.

Jolie Dupree is destined to bring an end to the war between the Seelie Court and Vampires. She has one major problem, the man she loves is who stands in her way of fulfilling the prophecy that has been placed upon her.

Nicolas Larkin is a Irish Vampire King and Master of Sex. He wants to claim Jolie as his own. Nicolas uses his power and seductive ways to take Jolie to a world of passion beyond her deepest darkest fantasies.

This quickie is one intense, spectacular sexual engagement. The passion between Nicolas and Jolie is off the charts. I have read plenty of Erotica and this one has one particular scene that is unique and page-melting HOT. If you are looking for a quick read filled with a lot of heat this is the book for you.

Received a copy of the book from the publisher in exchange for a review.

A Life Less BrokenA Life Less Broken by Margaret McHeyzer

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Allyn Sommers started her day like any other day, getting ready for work at a clothing store. She is going to have to deal with the store on her own because a 24 hour bug has her fellow employees calling in sick. She is supposed to get some help around 4 that afternoon so she just sucks it up and deals with it. She has had an uneasy feeling all day but just brushes it off, being that nothing seems out of the ordinary. Only a short period of time left on her own and a cute, friendly looking guy walks into the store….

This is when this story takes a turn for the worst. It begins a heart-wrenching tale of a girl turned victim to a horrific crime. The carefree girl that went to work that day is no longer here, and never will be again. Allyn is now an empty shell, left to relive that day over and over again through nightmares and memories.

Allyn isolates herself from the world, terrified the monsters will return. She believes she is destined to have a life filled with fear, loneliness, and no color. When watching tv she learns of Dr.Dominic Shriver and feels a tiny glimpse of hope.

Dominic Shriver is a psychiatrist, he takes on the most difficult cases. Dominic is drawn to Allyn and slowly putting her life back together, piece by piece. He is determined to get Allyn back to the life she deserves. He is her light to her darkness.

This is a very emotional read, definitely not a light read. As you go on this journey with Allyn you really get an understanding of how someone who has been traumatized may live or not live for that matter. The ending was perfect, no questions left unanswered. This is a great read, one that you will absorb and never forget.

That's a Lie (Promises, Promises, #2)That’s a Lie by Victoria Klahr

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I just want to start this review off with I LOVED this book!

Josie’s life is a wreck, her father just passed away and her best friend has been absent from her life for 2 years. Then…

Seth comes back into Josie’s life unannounced and it sparks some feelings that Josie has managed to block out over the years. The more she is around Seth the harder it is to ignore those feelings of want and need from him. Those little touches between Josie and Seth feel so much more then something you would feel from just a friend. The problem with moving their friendship to the next level has to do with secrets she has kept from Seth and the emotional turmoil that Blake has made her feel. When she decides to give in to her feelings and be with Seth her insecurities get in the way pulls her away from being with Seth.

Seth is back for Josie, he knows this time there is no pretending to be her best friend and wants and needs more. He loves her and is willing to do whatever it takes to make sure she knows they are worth fighting for. He fights for her even when she is pushing him away. Seth knows Josie feels the same for him but is having a hard time dealing with things in her past. He is willing to wait until she realizes it.

I absolutely fell in love with Seth, he now holds a spot for one of my favorite book boyfriends. I was behind him the entire way, rooting for him to get the girl he loves. I had my ups and downs with Josie, sometimes I felt for her and other times I wanted to knock some since into her. There was never a dull moment throughout this book, once I started I didn’t want to stop. Definitely recommend reading.

A Perfect Moment (Perfect, #1)A Perfect Moment by Becca Lee

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

A Perfect Moment is a fun and sweet read with a little suspense. After reading the prologue I knew I was going to enjoy this book.

The book starts off with Ella getting her heart broken when she thought she was going to have her perfect moment. Fast forward 5 years and Ella is attending her best friend Jo’s wedding. When Ella finds herself in a awkward situation she seeks out the perfect person to help solve this problem, Preston.

Preston is Jo’s younger brother who has been in love with Ella for what seems like forever. He has patiently been playing the role of a great friend to Ella and has been waiting for the perfect moment to make his move. Everyone but Ella knows how he feels about her and he is tired of being looked at as Jo’s baby brother in Ella’s eyes.

When Ella comes to Preston looking for away to get rid of the creep hitting on her Preston poses as her boyfriend and unexpectedly kisses her. This hot kiss changes everything. Preston decides it is time to make his move and finally have the woman he has longed for. Ella is confused by how she felt about the kiss and isn’t sure if she should have these feelings or even start something with Jo’s baby brother.

Ella’s past has left her feeling insecure about relationships, she wants Preston but is afraid of getting hurt again. Preston also has some issues in his past, but Ella was always there to help him get through it. As Ella and Preston try and sort out their feelings and relationship a surprising twist stirs up some drama.

I really enjoyed reading A Perfect Moment and I believe it is a fantastic debut novel. It has some seriously funny parts that had me giggling like crazy. Throughout the entire story I was hoping Ella and Preston would get their HEA, so I was very happy with the ending. Preston is one hot, sexy fireman, so you know you can’t go wrong with that. Jo is an awesome best friend and I can’t wait to read her and Liam’s story.

Fade InFade In by M. Mabie

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

If this book was a dish it would have all the right ingredients. I devoured this book in one sitting.

Tatum is a writer for a hit television show and is damn good at her job. She is witty, feisty, and has no brain to mouth filter. Tatum is losing her eyesight and her doctor suggest she see a psychiatrist but she has other plans. She decides just to simplify her life by hiring people to make her life a little easier. During interviewing candidates for a PA position a knock on her door brings her face to face with a very attractive Ben Harris. Ben charms Tatum into giving him the position.

Ben Harris is smart, good-looking, and kind of a dork in a good way. He is always a step ahead when it comes to Tatum’s needs. It’s like he knows her better than she knows herself. He is attracted to Tatum by her beauty and spunky personality.

Soon the lines between the employer and employee relationship starts to blur. Their attraction to each other starts to get too intense for either one of them to ignore. When the line is crossed there is no going back.

This was one of the funniest books I have ever read. I laughed out loud so many times. The “break-up” scene was freaking epic, best one ever. I loved everything that came out of Tatum’s mouth she was great. Ben was so hot and sexy with a splash of nerd. The book begins with a great prologue and ends with a perfect epilogue. Highly recommend!!

Tainted Pictures (The Photographer Trilogy, #2)Tainted Pictures by Sarah Robinson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is book 2 in The Photographer Trilogy. It will suck you in and question your thoughts on who might be the Photographer.

Kate is learning to trust Derrick again from when he abandoned her at one of her most vulnerable moments in her life. Derrick knows he was selfish by his reactions to Kate’s vicious attack. He doesn’t fathom how Kate could trust him again, and doesn’t believe he deserves it. Kate decides to prove how much she trusts him by revealing all her past demons. Derricks reactions to Kate’s past was very unexpected. Derrick redeems himself by loving Kate like he should have in the beginning of their relationship.

Kate decides to rise above her insecurities and wants to help the detectives anyway she can. She shows how strong of a women she is by fighting back and not being scared to go after what she wants to accomplish. As the detectives start finding out more info on the Photographer, and start closing in, the Photographer steps up his game and squashes their leads.

When you think you have the Photographer figured out and new twist in the story takes you down a different path. This book was more exciting for me then the first book. I like how you get the multiple POVs, I believe it adds so much to the story. There is a lot more suspense which keeps you glued to the pages. This book has a major cliffhanger that will leave you wanting more. I can’t wait for the next book in this trilogy.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

If you haven’t read Have I Told You, you need to go get a copy, because I Won’t Give Up on You starts off exactly where it left off. These books are worth the read.

After a shooting, Sabrina slips back into her old ways, feeling insecure. It is effecting her and Caston’s relationship. Caston, being the light in Sabrina’s darkness will try to show her how beautiful she is, not only on the inside but the outside as well.

Caston is wrapped up in a world of lies and deceit. After already having a dramatic upbringing this only makes it harder on him. He needs Sabrina to steer him in the right directions and be by his side, because he can’t do it on his own.

Sabrina and Caston can’t catch a break, just when you think they will finally get their HEA, Beverly has other plans. Beverly seems to know how to work the law for her advantage, and manipulates others into helping her succeed in destroying Sabrina and Caston’s relationship. She will go to any lengths to get what she wants.

I was so wrapped up in this story. Sabrina and Caston’s relationship is filled with love, drama, and page melting hot sex. I enjoy reading books like this because I get so emotionally involved with the characters. From the beginning I wanted Caston and Sabrina to get their HEA and Beverly to rot in hell, she is one crazy bitch. Caston is so sexy and going on my list of favorite book boyfriends. I really liked the multiple POVs, it added so much to the entire story. Definitely recommend reading these books.

Have I Told YouHave I Told You by F.L. Jacob

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Sabrina Bennett is a dancer who is broken. Her boyfriend has physically and mentally abused her to the point she feels insecure and still thinks he his the best thing for her. She does whatever he says just to please him because she knows there will be consequences. At a party one night he belittles and assaults her in front of his friends and out of nowhere a guy comes to her rescue. She has never had anyone defend her and is shocked and confused.

Caston Black is a businessman, who owns one of the top gentlemen magazines. He is good-looking and wanted by many women. When he first lays eyes on Sabrina he knows he has to have her. When this chance encounter brings him to the one girl he has been wanting, he believes it is fate, and intervenes and saves her from her asshole boyfriend. The feelings that he experiences when he is with Sabrina is unlike anything he has ever felt before.

When Sabrina and Caston’s lives collide is is extremely hot. Caston takes Sabrina into a world she has never known and finds she has hidden desires that she never knew existed. Caston has a secret that could possible wreck their relationship and isn’t for sure how he should go about telling Sabrina. When the secret is revealed will Sabrina be able to trust Caston again? Sabrina also finds out she is not favored by one of Caston’s family members and isn’t for sure she can handle staying in the relationship unless that changes.

This book is seriously off the charts HOT. There is so much to Sabrina and Caston’s story that will surprise you and keep you entertained throughout the entire book. The only reason I gave a 4 star rating instead of 5 was because of the insta-love between Sabrina and Caston. I think the I love yous came out a little too fast for me but with that being said it was still a fantastic read.

I felt for both Lily and Alfie throughout the book, sometimes I thought Lily was going about their relationship wrong and other times I was seriously ticked off at Alfie. Afraid To Love (Secrets & Seduction)Afraid To Love by Mj Nightingale
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Afraid To Love is a companion novel to Fire In His Eyes and follows the same timeline. You can read either one first. If you enjoyed Fire In His Eyes you will definitely want to read Afraid To Love.

Ana Perrot loves sex without the complications of commitment. She has issues with love because she has been hurt terribly in the past and it left her feeling like she was less of a person. Ana likes it a little kinky in the bedroom, and one night out with her sister and she finds just the person that could satisfy her needs in the bedroom. Teddy O’Rourke.

Teddy O’Rourke loves his life without complications. He has fun with women and has never met anyone that made him think otherwise, until he meets the beautiful, tall, red-headed Ana. He knows he has met his match. He comes from a huge loving family and he believes he could have that with Ana.

Ana and Teddy’s relationship is supposed to be only based on sex, but both have undeniable attraction and chemistry in and out of the bedroom. Their sex life is anything but ordinary, both loving to experiment and giving each other pleasure they never thought possible. The more time they spend together the more they fall in love with one another. Ana’s insecurities are hindering their relationship to progress into something more serious. Teddy is a patient man and will wait for Ana, he wants her for the long haul. Can Teddy prove she is everything he dreams of? Will Ana overcome being afraid to Love?

I loved Ana and Teddy’s story. It was steaming HOT during the sex scenes and could also be heartbreaking at times. It ended perfectly with an HEA. I like MJ Nightigale’s writing style, you get both POVs without it being separated by chapters so it flows nicely. Highly recommend!

Everything She Needs (The Everything Trilogy #2)Everything She Needs by K.L. Shandwick
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

After loving Enough Isn’t Everything so much, I knew this one would be just as good. I was anxious to to read this and was not in anyway disappointed whatsoever. Everything She Needs picks up right where the first one ended.

Lily is back in London for the holidays and is hoping her friends can help her mend her broken heart. She just wants to get away from the drama that has taken place during her first semester at college. She has come to terms with the things she has done wrong and doesn’t want to be the person she has become lately. She is completely in love with Alfie but doesn’t want all the heartache that comes with it. Lily gives into temptation and allows herself one night with Alfie and then takes off back to Miami after realizing it was a mistake.

Alfie is determined to have Lily and he tries his hardest to get another chance. Alfie is trying to be honest with Lily so he makes a confession about another female and Lily has to figure out if she can deal with it. One other confession about his feelings for her will leave Lily questioning if she should push him a way or not.

Lily and Will’s relationship is still in a slump ever since the “situation” took place they seem to have lost the comfortness they once had with each other. Lily’s best friend Jack from London definitely fills in the void of not having Will in her life. Jack will do whatever is in his power to make Lily feel whole again.

There is a lot going on in this book, it doesn’t entirely concentrate on Lily and Alfie’s relationship. You meet new characters that you will love, especially Jack, who is sweet, hot, and witty. Lily develops into a more mature young women focusing on her studies and music. Something is always getting in the way of Lily and Alfie having an actually relationship, keeping them from having their HEA. I was so jealous of Lily, I might take the broken heart if I could be surrounded by as many swoon-worthy men as her. I loved this book just as much as the first one and I am hoping that Lily and Alfie can get their HEA in the final book. Highly recommend.

Enough Isn't Everything (The Everything Trilogy #1)Enough Isn’t Everything by K.L. Shandwick
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Enough Isn’t Everything is a highly addictive read!

It starts off with Lily starting her college career in Miami, FL. She has traveled all the way from London and is wanting to somewhat re-invent herself. She wants to be more outgoing and prove that she can do this on her on. She is beautiful and musically talented.

While at the college campus she stumbles upon a gorgeous guy playing the guitar and is entranced in his music ability and his breathtaking good looks. She has these feeling within that she has never experienced, she wants to do things she has never imagined before to this man.

Alfie is arrogant and uses his good looks and charm to try and persuade or shall I say seduce Lily into having a “friends with benefits” relationship. He wants no commitment whatsoever. He speaks freely of his wants and desires from Lily.

Lily being very inexperienced in the sex department isn’t for sure if she wants to take Alfie up on his offer, but the way Lily is craving to have Alfie overtakes her thinking that it is not a good idea. This takes Lily on a roller coaster ride of emotions, she is confused. Could she possibly be in love with him?

While Lily is feeling confused about Alfie she has two other men enter her live, Max and Will. One she has know for a long time and feels she can trust him, but can she? The other she is comfortable with their friendship and they spend a lot of time together, but do they overstep their boundaries?

This book was truly a great read, I started and finished this book in one sitting. The issues that Lily faces seems so realistic, I can imagine many young girls going through similar experiences. I must say I am a little jealous, I mean three HOT guys and all musicians, hell yes! I had a hard time choosing who I wanted Lily with, my top two were Alfie and Will. Yes I did say Will, I mean what’s not to love about their relationship except maybe one minor, ok major detail that I will not get into to. The sex scenes were sizzling hot, I was fanning myself off while reading. Highly recommend!!

All of Me? (The Trust Me Trilogy, #3)All of Me? by K.E. Osborn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

***Amazing Conclusion***

I am truly sad that is trilogy has come to an end. All of Me? starts off where Love Me? ended.

Jeni is a broken mess and is putting the blame on the one person that will do anything for her. Her thoughts have caused her to push Aiden away. When a friend helps her see that she is having flawed thoughts she decides it is time to get her man back, but is it too late? Alistair’s bullying has gotten worse toward Jeni. Being that she is already in a fragile state he seems to get a kick out of seeing her so terrified. Jeni and Aiden have to face many obstacles to make their relationship a happy one.

I was so happy when Jeni and Aiden united, I seriously had the biggest smile on my face. Even though I know there is a reason Alistair acted so violently I still disliked the man. When Jeni finally stands up to him it is priceless. All the other characters (friends & family) were wonderful throughout the entire trilogy. There was never a dull moment throughout Aiden and Jeni’s relationship and the way All of Me? has concluded their story was just perfect. Aiden O’Connell has all the characteristics you will find in a perfect book boyfriend. He is sweet, good looking, caring, and thoughtful. Aiden had me swooning throughout the entire trilogy. Highly recommend reading this fantastic series!

Love Me? (The Trust Me Trilogy, #2)

Love Me? by K.E. Osborn

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

**5 Holy Hell What A Ending Stars**

Love Me? starts off right where Trust Me? ended. It is hard for me to right this review without spoilers, so I will keep it pretty simple. Warning, it does have a cliffhanger but the third book is already out so you do not have to wait.

Love Me? really tests the love between Aiden and Jeni. Jeni must help prove Aiden’s innocence while trying to cope with her on issues as well. There are so many twist and turns throughout the book. I was rooting for the couple the entire time. Then toward the end Jeni flipped the switch and I just wanted to slap some since into her, oh god I was going all to hell. I felt bad for her but damn she needs to get her shit together. Another person I can’t stand is Aiden’s father Alastair, he is such a major ass and I keep hoping he will come around.

I love this series. Once I started reading I didn’t stop until I was finished. K.E. Osborn sure knows how to suck you right in with her writing. I felt all sorts of emotions throughout the book. I can’t wait to finish this series, hopefully Aiden and Jeni get their HEA in the third book.

Carnage (Carnage, #1)Carnage by Lesley Jones

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I have an intense love/hate relationship with this book. When I look for books to read I have a list of deal breakers that I keep in mind. And this book contained EVERY SINGLE ONE of my deal breakers. BUT I hate myself because damn it all to hell I liked this book in spite of it containing all the situations I try to steer clear of when choosing my next read.
After I finished crying like a toddler that just had her favorite toy crapped on and set on fire

and was able to finish this tale of woe, I found myself filled with so man emotions yet totally incapable of expressing said emotions.

I literally sat in my chair and stared at the wall for 20 minutes.

All that being said, it’s time to move on to the story…
Georgia aka George aka Gia aka Kitten meets the love of her life at just ll years old. She knows the moment she lays eyes on Sean that he will be the man she spends forever with. It took me a bit longer than usual to get into the story because it starts off and continues on with all the characters at such young ages. No flashbacks into their childhood. No, their childhood is where the story starts and slowly progresses giving you pretty much the full story of their youth into adulthood. But it makes sense. Looking back now that I’ve finished the story I appreciate the slow build up. The author made me fall in love with their love story from the start and because of that I really felt like I went on this journey with them. I feel like I really got to know and get invested in these characters.
Sean and his band Carnage (that also contains 1 of Georgia’s older brothers and has another brother as the band manager) begin to really take off and gain recognition. Due to a series of bad choices by Sean and Georgia’s brother Marley the couple is essentially ripped apart.
Georgia spends 4 long hard years trying to get over Sean and the irrevocable hardships he has caused her. In walks Cam. And let me just say….OH! MY!

Just as things get into a good place with Georgia and Cam…Georgia falls (literally) back into the arms of her old flame, the love of her life, and the man who nearly destroyed her.
If you thought this story was interesting and heartbreaking before this point it just gets better (or worse depending on how you look at it) from here.
I think Lesley Jones did an amazing job with this story. Was it drawn out like others have said? Maybe a bit. But the story was deep and the sex was HOT. And at times it was hard for this North Carolinian southern belle to keep up with all the British slang. But I kind of liked that aspect of the book. The author stayed true to her characters. It kept it interesting that’s for sure. I found myself reading out loud in a British accent so atrocious that it would have made Dick Van Dyke sound like a proper English gent.

Will I read more from this author? YES, yes I will! Will i read the next book in this 2 book series? You’re damn straight I will! I hope, hope, HOPE it is a continuation of this story and a proper HEA is given. I’m just gonna put that out there.

Trust Me? (The Trust Me Trilogy, #1)Trust Me? by K.E. Osborn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

**5 Aiden O’Connell Loving Stars**

Before I get into this review I just want to say I am kicking myself in the ass for not meeting Aiden O’Connell sooner.

The book begins with Jenifer Taylor living a very uneventful life working and living with her best friend Sarah. Jenifer has had an abusive relationship in the past which causes her to have trust issues. Her trust issues keep her away from relationships, which causes her to feel lonely at times.

One hell of a morning, with a car crash, spilled coffee, and being late for work changes everything. Her shitty morning has its perks, meeting Aiden O’Connell.

Aiden O’Connell is great looking, rich, and a sweet talker. He works for the largest financial corporation in the area, which happens to be owned by his father. He spends the majority of his time working hard. When this chance encounter of meeting Jenifer occurs he doesn’t want it to slip by. He uses his charm and humor to earn a date from her.

Aiden and Jenifer starts dating, after Jenifer gets some of her insecurities in check. The two fall for each other rather quickly. Everything in their relationship is perfect until an issue at Aiden’s job puts him into an investigation for a serious crime. This investigation puts a little strain on their relationship and Jenifer is feeling insecure about her trust in Aiden.

I really enjoyed this book. Once I started I didn’t want to stop. The ending was a shock to me, I didn’t see that coming. I finished this book at 2am and seriously considered starting the next one to see what happens next. Aiden is definitely sitting in the higher ranks on my book boyfriend list. Here lately I have been reading about rich, arrogant, dominating men (which I also like), so it was refreshing meeting someone like Aiden. Jenifer could be oversensitive at times but I still liked her character a lot. Highly recommend!

I never thought I would I would say this, but I am in love with a Porn Star, well the guy behind the Porn Star facade, Jared. I loved Autumn and Jared’s relationship from beginning to end, I enjoy the little ups and downs that go along with it. I even laughed out loud several times. I love when books end the way this one did. Definitely recommend reading this book if your looking for a fun and sexy read. Oh yes, and it doesn’t have a cliffhanger, which is always a plus.

Severed Angel (Severed MC, #1)Severed Angel by K.T. Fisher
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

As soon as I finished reading this I was just thinking, damn what a read. It is freaking fantastic!

It begins with Eve going to visit her best friend in Australia to be her Maid of Honor, she hasn’t seen her in years. Shortly after arriving she witnesses a murder by Carnal MC and it puts her life in extreme danger. Before the VP of Carnal MC “Satan” can take her she is rescued by the VP of Severed MC, “Angel”. Eve is taken back to the Severed MC compound for protection. This biker club is determined to protect Eve from the Carnal MC. Carnal MC is a dangerous motorcycle gang that will do whatever is necessary to get to Eve.

While staying in the compound Eve can’t help but notice all the hot bikers and there is one in particular that sparks something from deep inside her. She has never been inside a biker club before and what she sees catches her off guard, and what she feels about it surprises her even more.

I absolutely loved this book. The sex scenes were so freaking HOT! Gabe aka “Angel” was everything that I want in a book boyfriend, he is dominating, sweet, intense, and sexy as hell. Once I started reading I didn’t put it down until I was finished. I really like the names of the characters. There is one hell of a cliffhanger but it only makes me want the second book even more. If you are a big fan of MC books you will definitely want to read this one. I need bk 2 like NOW please!!

ProvokeProvoke by Missy Johnson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Provoke has a little bit of everything. It can be sweet, dark, and action-packed all at the same time.

Mace and Leeta’s relationship is unconventional, she comes from a upstanding family while Mace is from the wrong side of the tracks. Mace on the exterior is hot and hardcore but really he is sweet and caring on the inside. Leeta brings out the best in him and he wants to be good for her. Unfortunately, certain things from Mace’s past have put him in a difficult situation. He needs answers but the only way to get them is doing something he hates, which could also jeopardize his relationship with Leeta. Leeta is feisty and strong. She loves Mace like no other and will do anything for him.

They’re many twist and turns in this book. It was a very fast-paced read. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 was because I believe it could have used a little more detail, other than that I enjoyed this book. I finished it in one sitting. I thought Mace was pretty damn sexy and loved his softer side.

Tainted Bodies (The Photographer Trilogy, #1)Tainted Bodies by Sarah Robinson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

**4.5 Stars**

I typically do not read crime/romance books but I did enjoy this one.

Kate Johnson is living a normal life, with little to no excitement. She has a past that still troubles her some but does a great job at hiding it. When she goes to her normal coffee spot Derrick Kane enters her life and stirs up some excitement.

Derrick is hot, fun, and a little mysterious. He too has a troubled past. You learn a little bit about his past and it gives you a understanding of why he the way he is at times.

Kate and Derrick date for a while and you can tell by the way they are around each other they are in love but Derricks past gets in the way and it leaves Kate feeling a little insecure about their relationship at times. She is in love with him and determined she won’t let it get in the way of their relationship.

After an amazing weekend together the two go back home and a horrific crime takes place involving Kate. She must now help the police catch this sick and twisted criminal while trying to hold her relationship with Derrick together.

The book started off a little slow for me but once it got going it sucked me right in. I ended up finishing in one sitting. Holy hell the reaction from Derrick about the crime just blew my mind. I won’t say exactly how I feel because I don’t want to ruin it for anyone. It does have a cliffhanger and I can’t wait to find out what happens next.

The Wrath of SinThe Wrath of Sin by Tabatha Vargo

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The Wrath of Sin is one of those books that will pull on your heartstrings from beginning to end. Once I started reading 1) I quickly realized I needed to keep some tissue handy and 2) I didn’t want to stop.

Sin is a man tortured by the loss of someone he loved more than life itself. As time passes and the longer he has to stew in his own heartache the angrier and more unstable-ish he becomes. He’s determined to make the man he sees as responsible for his loss pay.

But his plans take a bit of a detour when he lays eyes on Emily. Who just happens to be the daughter of the man he’s after.

Emily is no stranger to dealing with people who have dealt with and are struggling with the loss of someone they love. It’s her job to help them get better. She loves her job but finds her life outside of the job rather boring. Her social life is boring. The guy she’s seeing is boring. Her sex life is boring. Boring, boring, boring.
Then one night everything changes. Sin and Emily’s lives are intertwined and things get…interesting. And by interesting I mean HOT.

Sin, though on a mission of revenge, feels something for Emily. She makes his broken heart beat again. In turn, Sin unlocks and feeds Emily’s untapped sexual desire. He brings her to life.
Emily is the type of heroine I love. She’s strong, smart, independent but isn’t afraid to be vulnerable and need a man. I like that well balanced combination.

I really enjoyed this book and can’t wait to read more from these authors.

Maybe SomedayMaybe Someday by Colleen Hoover

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

You know that any book where the 1st line is “I just punched a girl in the face.” Is bound to be pretty freaking awesome. Add in the fact that a Colleen Hoover book starts out with “I just punched a girl in the face.” Then you KNOW for a fact it’s going to be pretty freaking awesome and full of gut wrenching drama (good and bad) from start to finish.

Mrs. Hoover has done it again. If I weren’t already bowing down at her feet from the awesomeness of her previous work, I would be doing a nose dive giving up my best “We’re not worthy!”

This book was definitely worth the wait and lived up to all the hype. Adding in the music aspect was just pure freaking genius. Griffin Peterson did an amazing job and complimented Colleen’s story perfectly with his well thought out lyrics and musical talent.

The bar has been raised with this book but of course I didn’t expect anything less from the master.

Maybe Someday is a unique and beautifully executed story showcasing many different levels of love and the hardships it entails. I was so entranced by this story that at one point I was literally pissed at myself for reading so fast and being almost finished with the book. The maturity of these characters (the females especially…face punch aside) is astounding. I didn’t connect with just one character, I connected with many different aspects of all the characters.

Ridge and his spectacular talent, compassionate soul, head to toe hotness and overall charm stole my heart from the moment I met him. The passion he showed for music, in spite of his little secret, was breathtaking. And the pureness of his heart was refreshing.

Sidney is now one of my all time favorite heroines. Her ability to remain so level headed in the intense situation she found herself in was pure perfection. She is a genuinely sweet, considerate, talented, loving and compassionate character. I loved her from the very first line to the very last. Her ability to so easily reach within herself and lay out lyrics the way she did was beautiful.

Put Ridge and Sydney together and wow…just wow. This wasn’t an insta love kind of situation (not that I’m opposed to those) no, the love between these two was a gradual, electrifying build up and once it was fully charged there was no stopping the attraction between these two.
I loved LOVED the alternating POV. It was great to get inside of both Ridge and Sydney’s heads to know just what both of them were feeling and thinking throughout the story.

The story of Ridge and Sydney will be stuck with me for a long long time. In all seriousness, thank you Colleen Hoover for once again giving us a story so beautiful and so intense that we can’t help but want to shout from the rooftops how utterly amazing you are.

If you haven’t read this book yet…get on it!! What are you waiting for???

Forever WaitingForever Waiting by P.D. Stevens
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book is about love, second chances, and overcoming the past with a little bit of humor and drama thrown in there.

It all begins with Landrey Steele, a girl who has been tainted by an abusive relationship from her past. She puts all her energy into work and hanging our with her friends to continue to live her life as normal as possible. While working a new employee has came into her life, Zaine Brooks. She is attracted to him and he fits right in with her group of friends. After spending quite a bit of time together their feelings toward each other evolve from being friends to something more. There are things that make their relationship complicated and unfortunately Landrey’s insecurities get the best of her.

Years past, eight to be exact and Landrey works for a well known Fashion Designer who gives her and her best friend the job opportunity of a lifetime. The problem is Landrey still hasn’t got over Zaine and this job happens to take place in his hometown. What are the chances that they will see each other? Just so happens they run into each other shortly after she arrives and Zaine is determined not to let her get away this time. As their sizzling relationship continues to grow someone doesn’t approve. Who would want to ruin this beautiful relationship?

P.D. Stevens did an amazing job writing her debut novel. It has the right amount of everything. Sex scenes are smoking hot, characters are great, and it will have you guessing who is out to ruin Zaine and Landrey’s relationship. The entire book has a very realistic feel to it. Zaine Brooks is now added on my list of favorite book boyfriends, you will definitely fall in love with him. Highly recommend for your next book fix.

Burned 2 (Beautiful Mess, #2)Burned 2 by S.C. Rosemary
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Burned 2 picks up right where the first one ended. This book has more drama and spice than the first, which makes me love this book even more.

Dana and Ethan are introduced to each others parents in this book, and one meeting turns out a little different than expected. Dana is starting to get more comfortable with Ethan and she gets to show off some of her skills you wouldn’t think she could pull off. Ethan is still sexy, sweet, and confusing as ever.

The ending will get to you. You know those books that when you get to the end you keep swiping your page on your kindle hoping for more, well I had one of those moments. I still have a feeling that Ethan is hiding something major, which would explain his hesitancy in pushing the relationship further. I can’t wait for the final book in this series. Highly recommend!!!

Burned (Beautiful Mess, #1)Burned by S.C. Rosemary
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

As far as short stories go I thought this was really good. I am usually not a fan of short books but this one is worth the read. This is the first book in a three part series.

This book is about Dana Watson, a insecure college student in desperate need for a boyfriend. She finds Ethan Lancaster’s online post and thought maybe she fit the description to what he was searching for, and contacts him. During the first date you really get a understanding of how inexperienced with relationships and dating Dana really is. Dana is intelligent and awkward all at the same time. I thought the way she behaved and her thoughts was adorable.

You learn that Ethan Lancaster is extremely HOT and comes from a very wealthy family. He was very sweet and charming. I do get a feeling that he is hiding something. I am curious if in the next book something will be revealed about him.

This first book is mainly about Dana and Ethan meeting and how they begin to feel comfortable with each other. It is a very PG read, I was expecting a little more spice but this one leaves you anticipating more from the couple. I think S.C. Rosemary did a great job in writing this book, for a short read it did not feel rushed. Can’t wait to start the next one.

Fury (Fierce, #1.5)Fury by Clarissa Wild
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

You meet Hunter and Autumn in Fierce which is entirely from Autumn’s POV. Fury is from Hunter’s POV. I really liked Fierce but let me tell you I love Fury. I have to be honest and say I liked Hunter’s side of the story better. His side of the story answers some questions you may have had after reading Fierce.

I loved being inside Hunter’s head when it came to his feelings for “Leafy” and how much he wanted to protect her. The passion between the two was so much hotter hearing it from Hunter. You learn about the specifics of the deal he made to get his brother out of jail. In Fierce you learn about his learning disability but you truly see how much it effects every aspect of his life in this book. I was kind of blown away by it. To see how Hunter deals with the situations with the gang and the dealings just made me love him even more. After reading Hunter’s side I have so much respect for him. After all the crap he has had to deal with in his life and how he overcomes it, you can’t help but to admire him.

“Tell me what you want. What you really need. Do you want me to let you go? Do you want me to stop hunting for you? ~Hunter

I think Clarissa did an amazing job writing Fury. I have read male POVs before that seemed like I was rereading the first book, and this one felt as if I was reading an entire different story. If you liked reading Fierce you will love Fury. I would recommend reading Fierce before diving into Fury. I can’t wait to read more about Autumn and Hunter in book 2.

Lost (Lost in Us, #0.5)Lost by Layla Hagen
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

**Perfect Prequel Novella**

Lost is a novella that can be read before or after Lost In Us. It gives you a better understanding of why James and Serena struggle with certain situations. Lost gives the details of their lives that Lost In Us doesn’t go into detail about.

I liked knowing how James felt the first time he laid eyes on Serena. It also tells where James’s jealousy begins and where it could possibly come from. You learn how James deals with his guilt he feels about his deceased girlfriend. It goes into more detail about him blowing his trust fund and how he struggled to get where he was in Lost In Us.

Learning how Serena struggled shortly after her sister’s death and how it affected her during her highschool years made it easier for me to understand just how much she hid her emotions and why she crammed so much activities in her life in Lost In Us. You also know more about how her relationship with her boyfriend of 6 years was and how there is no comparison to her and James’s relationship in Lost In Us.

I am normally not a fan of Novellas but I think this one is very enjoyable. I highly recommend reading Lost just to be able to get glimpses of James and Serena’s lives before Lost In Us.

A Werewolf's TailA Werewolf’s Tail by Amber Taylor
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The story begins with Sara Stanton, a 15 year old from West Virginia that is somewhat of a social outcast. Her friendships are limited to a few boys who are also not popular. Sara decides to keep a journal on her computer to tell about her life in becoming a werewolf.

Sara has a crush on Sam Byrd, who she has admired from a distance since elementary school. Out of the blue Sam starts talking to her and she is thrilled but curious to why all of a sudden. Sara soon finds out the reasons why the sudden interest he shows toward her but she still cares for him and wants him like no other.

Sara starts to feel strange and has these bizarre dreams that leave her wondering if they were real or not. She brushes it off as teenage hormones. Unusual things start happening around the town, animals disappearing, teenagers gone missing, and a man named Hank claiming to be Sara’s Uncle appears out of nowhere. Hank tells her she is a Werewolf, she thinks he is crazy and doesn’t know whether she should trust him or not. She soon finds out that he was telling the truth, she is a werewolf.

Sam starts trying to figure out what is happening in their town, he wants to get to the bottom of it. Sara does everything she can think of trying to convince him otherwise. She can’t let him know that she is a werewolf.

Another stranger is lurking in the shadows, one that has Sara frightened. She knows she will soon have to face him, but isn’t for sure what he wants from her.

This story is unlike any werewolf story I have read. It is very detailed and gory at times. So if you have a weak stomach I am giving you a fair warning. Sara is foulmouthed and has a strange sense of humor, it was quite entertaining at times because you never knew what was going to come out of her mouth. This was a very interesting story that ends with a cliffhanger that will leave you wanting to read the next book.

Lost in Us (Lost in Us, #1)Lost in Us by Layla Hagen
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

It all begins with Serena a insecure, hard working college student who is going through heartbreak from her recent breakup of her long time boyfriend. She tries to fill her time by submitting resumes, reading books, watching The Lord of The Rings, and eating chocolate. Her best friend Jess talks her into having a girls night out so she can get out of her funk.

The girls night out includes tequila instead of sprite and the hunt for a rebound. This is when Serena and James’s lives collide and it is magnetizing. James asks Serena out in an unusual manner and she does something she wouldn’t normally do, she takes a risk.

James is the opposite of Serena. He is rich, hot as hell, confident, and a risk taker. He is like prince charming with a few flaws. He sweeps Serena right off of her feet by taking her on these truly amazing dates. He makes her forget her pain with each touch and kiss. One of the flaws about James is that he doesn’t do commitments, which he is upfront with Serena. Serena finds out she is not the only one that is broken. When these two broken souls are together it is beautiful. The chemistry is undeniable and the sex scenes were pretty great. Something, usually from James’s past would interfere with their relationship. Serena annoyed me a little with the way she treated James, her insecurities would get the best of her and she would question everything.

I really enjoyed reading Lost In Us, and I find it hard to believe that this is Layla’s debut novel. It goes above and beyond what you would expect from a debut novel. I was hooked from the beginning and was definitely jealous of Serena for getting to be with James. I mean any guy who loves movies and can give you a chocolate filled heaven anytime is a keeper to me. It ended perfectly with an HEA. I can’t wait to read Jess and Parker’s story.

The Stable BoyThe Stable Boy by Harmony Stalter

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Stable Boy has a lot of romance with a country feel. I enjoyed reading Claire and Josh’s story.

Claire lost her husband in a tragic accident on the farm which left her depressed and lonely. She knew very little about raising a farm since her husband had taken care of everything. She was barely getting by when her last farmhand left. Everything changes when Josh comes walking into her life.

Josh has lost everyone in his family years ago and it has left him lonely and with nothing but his truck and few personal belongings. He gets by tending farms when someone needs the extra help.

When Claire and Josh’s lives come together it is beautiful. Claire is not sure how to handle her feelings toward Josh, she is confused. Luckily for Claire she has the best friend a girl could ask for and she always steers her in the right direction. Josh is so sweet and caring, he always has the right things to say and do to Claire if you know what I mean. All the characters you will meet in story are all very likable, Alison and Mikey were my favorite, they were so funny.

This was the first book I have read the the female character was older than the male character so it was refreshing to read something different. Josh is the perfect book boyfriend, he makes me want to go buy a farm just so I can get me a hot and sexy stable boy. I recommend this book if you are looking for an easy romantic read with an HEA.

Enjoying the ChaseEnjoying the Chase by Kirsty Moseley

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Kirsty has done it again, giving us another amazing love story. Nate Peters is introduced in Nothing Left to Lose, you don’t necessarily have to read it first, but I recommend it so you will be familiar with some of the characters.

Nate is a player with no responsibilities and lives his life hanging with friends and hooking up with random women. When he meets Rosie York she turns his world upside down by rejecting his pick-up lines and charm. This is a first for Nate and he does not take it well. He makes it his mission to get Rosie to give him a chance. Let’s just say Rosie puts a huge dent in Nate’s ego.

Rosie York is all too familiar with cocky, attractive, player types like Nate. She has been burned in the past and does not want to go down that path again and end up with another broken heart. Rosie has a hard time avoiding Nate being that her best friend is Anna, who happens to be married to Nate’s best friend Ashton.

I really enjoyed how the majority of the book is from Nate’s POV and has Rosie’s POV sporadically through the book. Being in Nate’s head is very entertaining and quite hilarious. I also liked seeing Nate go through experiences that is new to him and how he constantly questions himself. It is very adorable. The way he handles learning about certain surprises in Rosie’s life makes him an awesome book boyfriend. I was constantly swooning. I absolutely love Nate’s family, especially his mom, she is crazy funny. This story felt very realistic. Highly recommend Enjoying the Chase. I know I would love to be chased by Nate Peters.

Mellifica: Devastating First LoveMellifica: Devastating First Love by Melissa Mayberry

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

A raw coming of age, boy meets girl, angst filled love story all around. This is a gradual story that takes you on a journey with Melissa as she learns to navigate the heartaches in life at an early age.
The story starts off with Melissa being your normal everyday teen with her group of friends, church camp and her hearts desire, Sandy. Then in walks Arien…the guy who sweet talks her and basically promises her the world. When her relationship with Sandy fizzles out Arien is there waiting.
On top of all the love drama, Melissa has to deal with your typical high school drama as well and a mother who seems less than concerned about what her daughters going through.
My heart broke for her several times and I became so engrossed in the story and characters that I just couldn’t put it down.
This is a great and beautiful read that will stick with me for a long time. I’m ready to start book two and see what happens next.

Forgive MeForgive Me by Ashley Beale

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

****Received ARC in exchange for an honest review****

Ashley did an amazing job in telling this story of love, heartbreak, and second chances. Once I started reading I did not put it down until the very end. I loved every single moment in Lexi and Zander’s story. This story seemed so real and I could connect with each character and feel the emotions they were experiencing as if they were my own.

Lexi is a truly remarkable women, who took a hard situation and made the best of it. She put her son before herself which is rare for such a young parent. Her love never wavered from Zander even after all those years apart. When she returns to her hometown with her son, she is able to come out of her shell and live a little, which I thought was very entertaining. I could totally see someone who hasn’t had a very social life react to certain situations the way she did.

Zander is the kind of guy that you wish you had the experience of falling in love with. Even after being apart from Lexi all those years his feelings are just as strong, but he tries to protect himself from any more hurt that Lexi could cause. When he finds out about his son, he reacts in a way that is to be expected. I won’t go into detail because I don’t want to ruin it for anyone, but I am sure you will fall in love with Zander just like I did.

Throughout the story there is the right amount of drama and romance. I even laughed out loud a few times. It took me a while to figure out how to write this review because I was for sure my words could not express how much I love this book. I highly recommend if you are looking for a great love story with an HEA.

Her Master's Courtesan (Masters, #1)Her Master’s Courtesan by Lily White

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Holy mother of all mind f***s. This book is NOT for the faint of heart. People need to take the author’s warning seriously. She’s not playing around here folks. If dark reads aren’t your thing, TURN BACK NOW!!!!! 🙂
I just finished this book and sat there staring at the wall for a good 15 minutes before I could begin to form a coherent thought on how in the holy hell I was supposed to feel about what I just read. 1274465753023

And I mean that in a good way, of course. when I finish a book and it renders me speechless and in a mess of cluttered thoughts, I pretty much consider that a damn good read.
Aiden, is the demented emotionless love child of Caleb from the Dark Duet books and Q from Tears of Tess. He is a Master, a slave trainer that does not own his own courtesan because he’s never felt the need to, that is until he gets his hands on something rare and unexpected. He takes orders from other Masters (as in, they tell him what kind of woman they want and he goes shopping for her), breaks those women down into puddles of submissive goo and gains his pride, pleasure and fortune from the entire process.
Rebecca is a socialite, a sweet happy go lucky girl, trying to find happiness in the restraints that her upper crust society has placed on her. In walks Aiden and her world changes…for the better???
I don’t want to give a lot of details about this book because I fear too many details will give away the deliciously wicked twists and turns. I will say this…Aiden is truly an expert at what he does. In the end, I wanted to hate and be disgusted with him but instead I felt a certain level of affection and respect for the man. He really is the king of mind f***ery.

Fire In His EyesFire In His Eyes by M.J. Nightingale

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

WOW, what a read. It begins with Monica at a young age going through a terrible incident that leaves her dramatized for a period of time. Years later after only being with same guy in a friends with benefits relationship her sister Ana talks her into getting back on the saddle again. This is when she meets Victor.Victor is HOT, SEXY, and knows what he wants from her and isn’t to shy about voicing it. He shows Monica things she didn’t know that was possible in the world of orgasms.

“He rested his forehead on mine for a second breathing hard, trying to regain control, and then he pulled back and gave me that grin. The grin that was just a little lop sided, and made that delicious dimple appear in his cheek. It was sexy as hell.”

Let me tell you the sex and passion between the two was so flammable that if you would light a match they would explode. I needed a cold shower after reading certain scenes.

“Oh, my! I had never had this done to me before. With his shoulders spreading me wider and his hand holding one leg, he dipped down, and the moment his tongue touched my center, my head flew back. It was fricking awesome.”

Victor is upfront with Monica in a way by telling her he doesn’t have time for a commitment, and can’t tell her the reasons why except for family obligations. Victor’s commitment issues left me a little frustrated but I knew he had to have some good reason behind it. Monica doesn’t really want this type of relationship but it is the only way she can be with him, she will take it. I understood Monica’s reason in sticking with him even though she knew there was a possibility that nothing would change, like most of us we believe in hope. As their relationship really starts affecting Monica she asks him a certain question that will change their relationship dramatically. This is when I had my OH MY GOD moment because the answer he gives I did not see coming.

I mean I had all these thoughts going through my mind about what Victor was really doing but none of those were correct. By this point in the story I knew I would not be putting this book down until I had all the answers I was looking for, and I found them. The way the book wrapped up was perfect. I was emotionally connected with the characters and felt their happiness, sadness, and love. I most definitely recommend this book. It has the right amount of everything.

Silver LiningSilver Lining by E.J. Shortall

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review
Rating: 4.5
I just finished Silver Lining and it was such an amazingly sweet little story. Amber hasn’t had it easy in the relationship but then again neither has Craig…one if the many reasons they fit. Amber is every bit your girl next door. She’s sweet, open, beautiful and holds on to hope even after she feels all reason to hope is gone.
Craig is a great guy from a great family that just ended up losing his way after a while after the death of his father. And because if that he made some bad decisions that were still haunting him 12 years later.
Yes, it was love at 1st sight pretty much but the characters still acknowledged the fact that they know nothing about one another and in order to move past the lust portion of love at first sight then they need to be open and get to know one another. And here’s where the drama begins. Craig is hiding a pretty big secret and amber has a bit of a trust issue due to her previous relationship. She knows she can’t fully give him her heart if he can’t trust her with everything that he is.
It doesn’t hurt that the sex is pretty hot too. Maybe a bit too many sex scenes but who’s really going to complain about that when they’re this yummy.
I truly enjoyed this story and can’t wait to see what the future holds for these 2 in the next book.

VeinedVeined by Anyta Sunday

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I don’t think I can write a review that will do this book any justice. This story is a roller coaster of emotions that left me crying like a brokenhearted teen at the end. Oh the ending…oh oh oh…every time I think about it, it kills me (but in a good-ish kind of way if that makes any kind of sense. Actually that’s a lie, it broke my heart. lol) I loved everything about this book. There was never a moment so dull that I got bored and felt the need to skim. There was no over descriptive page filling and there were no pointless plot twists. From the 1st page to the last…this book had my undivided attention.
I love the world that Anyta brought me in to. Sylva is a heroine that truly deserves the title. She embodied every aspect of a heroine. I was with her through her entire heartbreaking journey and I could feel what she was feeling in the extreme new life she found herself living in.
Then there was Attic who seemed to start off as the typical teen read lead guy…but after a paragraph or two you just knew there was going to be so much more to him. He didn’t spend his day pinning away for some “love at first sight” “mysterious attraction” (neither one of them did). While there was attraction at first sight, there was more to Attic and more to this slowly building relationship and you couldn’t help but cheer them on.
Everyone needs to read this…just do it…SERIOUSLY!

Left DrowningLeft Drowning by Jessica Park

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is quiet possibly one of the best f***ing book I have read in a long f***ing time!!
While I waited for my book to arrive in the mail I read review after review about the 70% part(page 275 for those of you who have the actual book…don’t cheat). I thought to myself what could be so horrible that people were literally screaming at their eReaders and threatening to toss them across the room? What about this 70% had people crying hysterically? Then I thought that eh they were probably just being dramatic. BOY WAS I WRONG! I knew the second I reached 70% in the book because my heart was ripped out, trampled on, set on fire and hacked up with a chainsaw before it was ever returned to me.

For those who are saying that this book is offensive to Christians…ugh…really? Deep issues are dealt with in between these pages and Jessica did a great job of showing the different ways that people deal with those issues. Whether it’s their firm belief in faith or just themselves…EVERYONE deals differently. Everyone has their own opinion…every character in the book, every author and every reader. I was in no way offended by this book. It beautifully written from the 1st word to the last.

I won’t give a summary of the book because about a million other reviews have done that and there’s a nice little summary at the top of this page. What I will tell you is how I felt while reading this book and after. I’ll tell you that this book will take you on a journey. You’ll fall in deep dark holes of despair along with the characters and you’ll fight to climb out of that hole…right along with them. I was with each and every character every step of the way feeling everything they felt. Although I must say Sabin was my favorite. 🙂 I felt, consumed and lived every word on every page and in my opinion that’s the best thing that could happen to you while reading a really awesome book like this one. The oh so hot sex scenes were enough to have you searching for a cold beverage but done in good taste and in no way took away from the story. Though it’s been a few weeks since I finished reading this book, I still can’t get it out of my head…not that I’d even want to. This story is embedded in my brain and is there to stay.
You should read this book…then recommend this book to your friends so that they can recommend it to their friends and so on and so on.

Conklin's Blueprints (Conklin's Trilogy, #1)Conklin’s Blueprints by Brooke Page
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
If I could give half stars I think I would actually rate this one 4.5 due to a few minor things that bothered me a bit.

Becca comes from a wealthy family but she’s anything but a spoiled rich kid. In fact she seems to hate the perks that come with her name and wealth. (I liked that about her) After graduation, a serious heartbreak from her boyfriend and betrayal from her best friend, Becca goes on a partying binge with her new best friend and roommate. After a hard night of partying Becca gets the slap in the face she needs to get her life back on track. So, with her new best friend in tow she moves from her wild life in Florida to attempt a new respectable life as an architect in her home town of Grand Rapids, Michigan. Here’s where the fun begins…
Becca was a real and relatable character. Her self-esteem issues are something I think almost every woman can relate to in some way. She was beautifully flawed but her family and ex-best friend were constantly making underhanded comments about how she was far from the perfection they expected. Once Becca met Tyler her internal monologue got on my nerves a bit from time to time. There were a few times I couldn’t understand why she was overreacting about certain situations but I just went with it.
I feel Tyler’s past was played up to be worse than it actually was. I still don’t really understand why he has issues with being touched. Did the ex beat him? Anywho, I still loved the story. I DO prefer my men a little more alpha male but I grew to love Tyler and was rooting and swooning for him every step of the way. He too seemed slightly unimpressed with his own wealth. I like how they slowly got to know each other for going to any next levels. There was a reason behind their connection and it wasn’t just love/lust at first sight. (not that I’m against that)
Every time Becca interacted with Ashlynn I hoped an prayed that that would be the time she just straight up punched her in her perfect little face. But when the time finally came and Becca grew a backbone, I was cheering in my seat. I loved it…everything she said was perfect! And karma was played out perfectly.
There were moments when things were a bit too descriptive for my taste but that’s just my issue. I have a vivid imagination and don’t need to be told every little detail of an outfit or how a room looks or the exact placement of body parts every step of the way. But It took nothing away from the story. I may just be guilty of doing a wee bit of skimming.
All in all, I recommend this book to those who are looking for a sweet read of equally flawed and realistic characters(with some hot sexy sexiness thrown in). I can’t wait to read the rest of the series!

Ignite (Ignite, #1)Ignite by R.J. Lewis
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The book begins with Sara Nolan as an unwanted child with worthless parents that struggles with her homelife daily. As a young child, Sara is bullied by a girl at school. The tormenting doesn’t stop until Jaxon Barlow intervenes and becomes somewhat, her protector. As they grow older Jaxon’s mother Lucinda welcomes Sara into their home and takes care of her by being like a parent she never had.

As teenagers Sara and Jaxon are still as close as they have ever been, maybe a little more. When one night together turns their relationship up a notch, they become inseparable. As their relationship progresses Jaxon becomes the ultimate boyfriend, he is sweet, caring, and did I mention very hot. A certain moment in their story makes Sara turn into a major witch with a capital B. Sara begins to see what she is doing to Jaxon and makes a decision that will change their relationship forever.

Fast forward five years later and life has changed Sara and Jaxon tremendously. Things Sara never knew about her childhood has surfaced and changes everything she has ever known about herself. Jaxon has went through a lot of the years and has a new lifestyle that Sara isn’t sure if she can deal with.

Is Sara and Jaxon’s love strong enough or will their lives pull them apart?

I very much enjoyed this book. I fell in love with Jaxon right from the beginning, on the other hand I wanted to slap the taste out of Sara’s mouth for the way she treated Jaxon. The twists at the end was very surprising and it only added fuel to the fire. They’re a few grammatical errors but it did not take away from the story at all. I can’t wait to start reading Burn!
